NAYRT but after looking at all those pics the shape of the ring retaining the straps is different in the coord pic. The real one has the straps closer to the bag because it’s a rounded rectangle, while the fake one is closer to a circle. To be fair the Japanese don't coord this well either, but this misses the mark. The blouse is generic sweet, the socks are sax and don't match anything, and the shoes aren't heels which would at least give off a modern wa aesthetic due to simulating getas. She's coording it like regular sweet and the dress just looks out of place now. Replace the blouse with one that doesn't have puffed sleeves, and get rid of those wristcuffs, and especially get some plain socks

There's all this old school love right now and I started lolita during the age of blackxwhite being ita and raschel lace being ita. That's still hard to shake. I still don't like bodyline, so you pile on the old school, blackxwhite, and then bodyline..fuck it's nasty.

I'm still more inlove with OTT sweet like I always have been since I was a kid, but now I have more love for gothic than I used to. Also to comment, some of the popular AP dresses for some of the old school coordinates came from LP releases that they labeled as "newbie friendly" coordinating when they came out a long time ago. It is the best intro to lolita genre, hence why those dresses still pop up in the jp second hand market labeling it as beginner wear. I remember suggesting my best friend to keep in that domain, which is now labeled as "old school" sweet. I figured it'd help her with coordinating and it did. I think part of the fact is also that it’s easy to throw on as kind of "casual" wear. With the babydolls you don’t even need pettis. It’s really easy to quickly slap on an old school set and still have a definitively lolita coord.
