Or maybe are the wrong skintone and using a full suit and only face makeup is easier than body paint. or some do kigurumi mask cosplay. Maybe they're into crossplay but are not willing to shave their balls and asscrack. Some still just aren't skilled enough to get strappy swimsuit style looks to sit comfortably on their bodies all day. Cosplay isn't for you to cook, some people wanna represent a character while still being comfortable. If it drives weirdos like you away from them all the better.

Moving around in strapless stuff is a pain in the ass and all she'd be doing all day is fixing her tits, which you're not supposed to do in public. Fabric tape will only hold so long, and with it being fake fur that's barely holding out of the hotel room. Not drawn on. I said before but a sheer "second skin" type fabric on some areas and then the suits fur fabric sewn or attached on top of that fabric could look good and would allow you to get the shape of the original suit better. Also faux fur has a backing like normal fabric so it could be adhered with any method normal fabric is and brushed out to cover any stitches or fasteners. I just prefer accuracy even if I understand why people just go for what's easy. Costume design is cool and seeing that recreated well irl is super awesome. Everyone doesn't have to do that but it's more commendable when some effort is made to figure out how to make something work irl that's fantasy.

I didn't say it was innovative. Like I said I'm aware it's used in other areas of clothing production. I find it cool to see common stuff applied to cosplay to make something fun and try to nail as character as best you can. Every cosplay doesn't have to be a major innovation. It's just cool to use different tools and processes to get the result you want. Like Adam Savage's stuff. He just has the money and the tools to bring some characters to life in his own way.
