It's way too small to be a full desk mousepad. Maybe you could fit a keyboard on it if it's tenkeyless or smaller

Most deskmats aren't smooth at all, they have a bit of a bite for the mouse to track, this item reads more like a dining table placemat.

>Which sorts of gothic items are you mostly into purchasing currently- collecting older releases you missed out on, or new releases?
Mostly new releases as the secondhand market has been very dry recently.
>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?
Nowadays I mostly buy MMM, both new and secondhand, though I recently found an interest in both Atelier Boz and Sheglit. I really love the Isaac Jacket OP but I don't really have anything that would match it in my wardrobe so I'm still on the edge about buying it.
>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
A year ago from the western market. Maybe two months ago from the JP market.
>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?
A month ago, Candelabra Rose Ring from MMM. Eagerly waiting for those Side Flare Pants as I also wear EGA.

>Which sorts of gothic items are you mostly into purchasing currently- collecting older releases you missed out on, or new releases?
Mostly older releases, though I buy 3-4 new main piece releases per year.

>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?
Mostly Moitie and Sheglit

>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
Western - this week, an accessory. JP - about 3 weeks ago, a JSK.

>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?
I bought some of the new Moitie novelties last week, as I'm in the salon. Besides that, I bought a new Sheglit JSK last August.

>Which sorts of gothic items are you mostly into purchasing currently- collecting older releases you missed out on, or new releases?
Older releases, I'm really not a fan of neo-Moitié and I haven't been impressed enough to pay full price for any offerings from gothic brands in the last 18 months.
>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?
In order of frequency my top 3 would probably be BPN (my blouse and short jacket collection), Atelier Pierrot, and H.naoto
>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase from the western market? The JP market?
Western market would have been over a year ago, jp market November.
>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?
Years ago, maybe 2016

Always searching for old stuff, but Im at the point where I can focus on new a lot more.

>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?
Moitie mostly. I dont like Atelier Pierrot much and sheglit is boring. Boz is interesting though so I may look at them more soon.

>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
I bought some stuff on LM in Jan, and recently I bought a dress off CC.

>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?
Last week, bought Moitie from presale.

Moitie and Boz. Moitie accessories and Boz main pieces lately, but I'm hoping Moitie puts out some more main pieces soon.

>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
A couple weeks ago on the western market and a few days ago on the JP market. There were months when the market was super dry but it picked up a lot in the last month for me.

MmM, then equally Sheglit/AtePie/Enchantilly

>>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
Western last year?, Japanese last month. I get most of my secondhand gothic from the Japanese market.

Mostly second hand, but since I started working full time I’m able to splurge on new more often now.

>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?

Still Moitie, though I have some Boz and AtPie, both of which I love. I also like BTSSB’s oldschool gothic, sue me. AATP is trash though

>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?

Western market - bought a Moitie skirt in comm sales this month. JP market - a big CC haul at the end of last year of mostly AtPie, Boz and Miho Matsuda

>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?

classic thread OP here and I also-also wear gothic! Here's mine:

>Which sorts of gothic items are you mostly into purchasing currently- collecting older releases you missed out on, or new releases?
I'm looking to buy up a lot of new stuff, mostly because I don't think the older items I'm into are ever going to fit me and newer items have more generous sizing (88cm bust seems difficult for a lot of old Moitie, and my favorite old cuts are 82cm bust OP's)

>What gothic brand's items do you buy most often these days (either new or secondhand)?
I've been buying tons of Sheglit lately.

>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of gothic from the western market? The JP market?
A couple weeks ago for western and I honestly can't remember for JP, it was probably pretty long ago now.

>When was the last time you bought a new gothic release?
I snapped up the restock of the Sheglit Briar Rose dress last week! Was really happy to see that as I regretted not buying it the first time.

Moitie and atelier pierrot.
>When was the last time you made a secondhand purchase of classic from the western market? The JP market?
I would say almost a year ago for the west market and half a year ago for the jp market. Most of the stuff that really appeals to me tends to be really sought after and too expensive for me.

Europe here.

Various rings made out of pewter, sterling silver, stainless steel (good for everyday wear).

Part of them bought at jewelry fairs (best way to find handmade single unique designs or very short series or from more exotic places and various natural gemstones) other from European alt brands Alchemy Gothic (well known UK brand, they come with Svarowski crystals, mostly made out of pewter), Et Nox (Germany, mostly silver and stainless steel). I'm currently looking for vintage pieces in local jewellery shops.

Brand to avoid at all cost: Restyle(PL) - items made from low quality materials for sold for high price

You may also look into "ethnic" style likie Tibetan, Tuareg, Berber, Arab etc if you are looking for a single piece that will add some "stand out" quality to your outfit.

Sometimes you can find interesting rings even in places like biker shops if you are into skull motive. I just found picrel looking for rings.

Most of my jewelry collection is necklaces. I have skinny wrists and fingers, and I fidget a lot, so rings and bracelets tend to go missing.

Here are most of my better pieces. I have pieces from Néant Glass, Macabre Gadgets, Alchemy England, Arcana Obscura, Killstar (not good quality but was on sale), vintage, and Moi-même-Moitié. The MmM necklace and choker were DIY'd from a pair of earrings.

I like to window shop on Etsy too. There's some cool small jewelry shops I can list if someone is interested.

Off topic but this pic gave me chills! I used to own such a pearl bracelet as a child and was thinking about it's whereabouts just the other day.

>>10568530
I have a few pieces of Motie jewelry and like most of brand jewelry it's hardly worth the price tag. Especially my bracelet is comically cheap quality but I got it second hand for low bucks many years ago, so not much regret.

If you go for brand you should definitely take a look at Baby and AatP, my pieces from them are by far the best quality of all.

Vivienne Westwood has some pieces that work well with Gothic.

And if you can get a hold of it on the secondhand market I suggest Suppurate System (picrel sorry for the low quality). The items were hand made, that's why there are mixed reviews but all the stuff I saw in rl was beautiful. I forever regret not getting something while they were still active. I've read somewhere that they reopened but with a different name, I really don't know.

I don't have any worn/IRL pics on me but I like Necrosarium a lot. I bought from her when she was new because it reminded me a bit of Supperate System and still have the pieces today. I think it's the amount that the fabric can stretch, I believe. The word that translated to "width" can also mean "stretch", and this skirt says it's made of stretch fabric. That leads me to believe that the waist measurement is based on the corset panel but it can stretch an extra 9.5cm (especially since it's the same for both sizes)

They do? I’ve only seen orthodox Jewish men wear brown wigs or sometimes head wraps. And if you’re talking about maxipad headdresses, they look nothing like 1800s Russian headdresses (kokoshnik). Can you explain?

Yes, maxipad headdresses, not kokoshnik (worn with a wig, of course). Orthodox clothing rules essentially stem from establishment in the same time period... Initially they were meant to help Jews blend in with Russians at the time, but instead they just never changed. Or that was how my very-secular not-Orthodox family explained it to me, so; take with a grain of salt.

I don't know about in other countries' Orthodox communities, but in NYC you'll see them very commonly. This was the only potato picture I could find as an example, I don't want to be weird and try to take a photo of the accessory shop in my neighborhood.

yeah, I was only answering in the context they asked about. in general it just means black or white, so you see shiro gothic for all-white gothic coords. kuro gothic would be kind of redundant because it's associated with black by default. and I don't see kuro/shiro used much in classic, maybe because it focuses more on looking historical rather than... conceptual? not sure how to best phrase that.

The bonnet doesn't match at all since it's a weird greenish blue. The cross collar doesn't fit into the flowery theme either and feels very out of place.
Honestly, the black accessories/blouse just feel super ham fisted. White or a matching purplish blue would work better.

It depends on the piece. Their old "82cm" bust wasn't a particularly tight fit on many of their items, I haven't yet found a Moitié jsk that's tight on that measurement. There's definitely older pieces like the cross front chiffon dress that actually look better on a slightly larger bust and are fine up to around 86-88cm.

>> No.10597995

>>10597991
Honestly I feel the same way about the JSK. I just wish there was something, any kind of detail on the bodice section, OR that the tailoring of the overall dress was better. As it is I don't feel it's quite worth the pricetag- if it were retailing for 25000-28000¥ then maybe.

But the colorways I like are sold out in size 13 anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. I could probably fit into a 9 but I'd like just a little more wiggleroom in the waist for my blouse.

I've been eying more abilletage and Na+ though, they can be a bit pricy for what they are and more gothic-punk at times than lolita but they have a lot of great workable tops, especially cutsews. I've been quite impressed with abilletage's quality so far.

I've been a fan of Mana and similar artists since 13yo. I dress quite alt generally but don't have anything EGA or EGL.
I don't know where else to shop for EGA clothes that would look flattering on a man besides Moitie and Boz. I really like Mana's style and wanna wear those more ouji aristocrat coords. Lolita doesn't really interest me, unless it's tea length and very gothic. I really liked Moitie's bat corset skirt but it's not long enough.

Aside from the weird not-wearing-a-bra-and-wearing-a-blouse-that-doesn't-even-close-over-the-breasts, this looks really cheap anon. You could make something similar and much better quality super easily.

is this a selfpost? this looks like absolute garbage. this is like an unironic cross that an old biker lady would wear. (and that's probably who's actually wearing it in the pic)

the girl is not an old lady, she looks like some edgy "goth" blm sjw pronoun/pronounself though. Which also works.

Any thoughts or reviews on the brand MR? Their cutsew prices seem quite cheap despite all the details, compared to similar brands like abilletage, but it looks like most of their stuff is still made in Japan so I'm curious about the quality.

I think it’s meant to be worn with another mask underneath? I don’t think this see-through fabric would make sense otherwise, since Covid could walz right in.

Okay, was anyone going to tell me that most of the recent Artherapie bags are replicas of vintage Jean-Paul Gaultier? Anyone eyeing an Artherapie bag, check if there's a JPG bag secondhand, it will probably be similar/better price and better quality.

recs for a gothic appropriate messenger bag? i know any plain black leather one will work, but i wanted to know if anyone had any good ones.

God, a generic pretty house/architecture print with a murder ocurring if you look closely would be so good. So many other dresses already have cutesy hidden details, my body needs something edgier like this.
