Get rid of "lolita fashion" in your searches. Stick to brand names or specific prints. Even if the brand name or print is in English, sometimes sellers will list it in katakana. so you have to play around with different searches and be willing to look through a bunch of pages of stuff.

eg. I've found that メタモルフォーゼ will often yield more results than just metamorphose.

Or as another example, "Holy Lantern" will get you results, but some sellers title it exclusively as ホーリーランタン. Right now, searching one or the other will give you different results without any overlap

I can't testify for their new dresses but I have a dress from 2010 and it's good. It's made of a really thick, beautiful cotton. It's not burando quality though obv, the construction is a bit off at parts and the lace is crap.
Overall though, for its price I'd recommend it, I've heard positive stuff about their other older pieces too. It's perfect for "I don't want to risk my brand but I want to look cute"

>>10561823 is right, it's just the makeup style of the 90s and early 00s. Here's some characteristics to aim for if you're trying to recreate it
>thin, dark brows
>eyeshadow is usually a single light color across the lid, sometimes a darker color on the outer corner
>minimal eyeliner for jfash looks, generally only on the top lid
>sometimes tightlining on the lower lid for more gothy looks
>no falsies or circle lenses
>no contouring
>usually no blush, or very very minimal
>deep red lip
The brows and lips are really the focal point of the look, even if you have bangs like the girls in the pics.

If you're struggling you can look up tutorials, but I'd suggest sticking to actual "vintage" 90s/00s tutorials rather than modern recreations.

No stretch, except for maybe a small amount in the waistband but not usually in my experience. They're tailored, fitted pants, mostly designed for slim figures. There are styles that flare at the hips which is accommodating for curvier shapes, there are also shorts with small waistbands and wide leg holes. I know you said pants but there's also pumpkin style shorts which should be flattering on you. Ouji pants/shorts often have a slightly oversized look to them, and they also come in men's sizes sometimes, which are slightly larger.

All in all, it's a lot like regular lolita, you need to carefully look at photos to figure out fit and there's a bit of trial and error involved to find what works for you. You can always take things to a tailor as well. Good luck!

I’m a pretty casual follower of lolita fashion, so not very knowledgeable about ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’

>Are Chinese brands like Bacio Bouquet disdained in the community?
50/50. People who can't afford to be brand whores/have trouble fitting into the brands they like say Chinese brands can be really good. People who can afford brand or have the patience to save up for it say secondhand brand is superior to new Chinese releases. Everyone agrees some Chinese brands are better than other Chinese brands.

>Are huge wristlets like these ‘ita’?
Yeah, those are wacky

Is her petticoat too limp?
Not in this case, because it's an oldschool-inspired look. Low poof/built-in-petti-only poof is acceptable in oldschool. For other styles, this petti might be something you wear casually to run errands but don't post to your socials unless you're strong of heart.

>> No.10564421

It’s very clearly a ‘new’ oldschool style. Its pretty cute.
Oldschool didn’t have petticoats (or very minimal ones) and you can get away with weirder things for oldschool since thats when lolita was first starting and anything went. The arm warmers are perfectly fine for oldschool style.
I haven’t heard of anyone disdaining bacio bouquet. but the market right now is for sweet and not neo oldschool. People will shit on bodyline though but thats because the quality is cheap and looks cheap
