Depends. There's some stigma around being what's known as a "conlita"--someone who only wears lolita to cons and lolita events and never outside of that context. I'll usually wear it if I go out for more than 30 minutes. Most days I wear simplified outfits with a smaller petticoat and I save expensive dresses and lots of accessories for special events. I wear gothic and dark colors most often, so it doesn't really attract more attention than my normal alternative clothes. It also doesn't take me any longer to get ready unless I make a special coord for an event (like a tea party or a nice date). I don't go to anime conventions.

It’s about 25% trannies pretending to be “real” women, 40% real women and nice girls, and another solid 35% unironic man-haters LARPing that any man could ever be hurt by their recycled insults. The latter are the funniest because they will absolutely LAY INTO the 30% of normal women here for so much as talking with a man, while simultaneously flirting with them as a way of “trolling” local men or crossboarders. Hilariously, the board does absolutely nothing 99% of the time, unless somebody like yourself/ myself is deliberately trolling them... in which case the entire board comes out to see what’s going on. In that way, they are kind of like real seagulls! It’s a really cute behavior, because many of them actually like the attention and are genuinely happy that something is going on other than the usual “calling each other whores and starting lefty drama” for a change. Other than that, it is ridiculously slow. Just look at how old some of these threads are!

Unfortunately, as you would expect, the board is *extremely* sensitive to trolling. It is by far the most easily trolled board on all of 4Chan, even beating out /lgbt/. And being so sensitive, and so slow is a terrible combination for a creative, body-themed board. Because of that, the board is pretty much dead. As an example of what I mean: There hasn’t been a proper gyaru thread here since the last time I trolled one just under a year ago. That’s just sad. I was looking forward to having fun with everyone again, but they completely gave up on life. Pic related is a gem from the last time I visited.

I have been 2-day global banned multiple times by mods for “off-topic posting” while making completely serious, on-topic text posts as anonymous.
