I own the original in sax, but it came to me very damaged. It was undisclosed and from yahoo jp so there was no way to get my money back. Super faded and holes in it. I'm not sure what I'll do with it once I get the MTO.

It's funny because I only had the desire very recently to get it for some unknown reason - I always liked it for nostalgia, but I'm a gothic lolita, so it seemed silly to go for it when I can't do much with it. For whatever reason, though, I have had a burning desire to have it for the past year or less... But all of the going prices for it have been ridiculous lately. I am VERY thrilled that the rerelease just happened to line up with my sudden need.

The special set and sax are my faves! Then pink, black, and lavender. Lavender/purples are my favorite color, but I just don't feel like the print goes as well with the lavender for some reason. Pink and sax are more prominent in the print, it pops in a really pleasing way on the special set... The black colorway is nice, but I tend to not like sweet prints on black. I wish I did like it because it would be so much easier to coord...

Now that it’s getting a rerelease I can tell you all my embarrassing secret. I bought the jsk and op when they first released along with the headbows and socks. I opened up my package containing them and I’m pretty sure I never removed the headbows from the box before I threw it in the dumpster because I could never find them again!! Womp womp.

So the minimum measurements for the OP are only 2 cm larger for the MTO than the original. Why is everyone freaking out that it's only for fatties?

'Everyone' isn't freaking out. There's a handful of gulls who either have EDs or just like to LARP about being super petite kawaii uwu girls who can't possibly fit any modern releases. AP's sizing across all their releases is almost identical to 10+ years ago, with maybe a 1-2cm creep upward.

I don’t like the trend, but at the same time as a huge APfag I feel like it’d be a shame to pass on such an iconic piece. I'm torn between the OP and the JSK. I have mostly JSKs in my wardrobe so I was thinking of getting an OP, but I like the versatility of a JSK. I like the little bows on the straps but I also like the "mini shrug" look of the OP.

Maybe this question is better in the dumb questions thread but it seems relevant here: what is the absolute best way to care for and store these dresses to avoid fading? Ive seen some 2009 ones in near New condition but does that mean its almost never worn?
With these being cotton I want to maximize the longevity. I have faded ones and I dont want my new ones to end up like that. Probably useful info for other people here too
