Pencil sketches are a newbies/veterans best friend ! It give you a chance to slow down and address the shapes you have created and adjust proportions! I have to remind myself everytime to sketch first (it feels like twice the work but you always end up with a better result)

That being said this is super cute & you are on your way to being a great artist... just try to ditch the ball point pens.

(Ps when you are inking over your sketch always try to keep your eyes on where you want the pen to go, not directly on the tip of the pen but a few cm ahead! Best tip i ever received)

Try using reference next time, it will help you a lot to improve your proportions. Even if you want to do a non-realistic style, you have to learn proper anatomy before stylizing or you'll get bad habits. Also do a sketch first with a pencil, this way you'll be more confortable once you do the inking.

You have a cute style but lack anatomy, I'm sure that if you put in some work you'll be a good artist.
