The dresses in the OTT sweet era still had a lot of structure and sat closer to the natural waist showing the figure for a little bit more of an adult vibe to them vs the currently floaty super high waist modern sweet vibe that completely obscures the form of the body, giving me more of a childish vibe. OTT era stuff to me reads like an adult choosing to wear pastel stuff because they like it vs modern sweet seems more like trying to dress more like a child.
