I've done a bunch! Like you listed, I've done 9S.
But I've also done Ghirahim and Gerudo Vai link in terms of Zelda ones.
I'd also recommend some of the later parts of Jojo as you could do some villains pretty well. I'm a bit on the shorter side though so I can't do those.
Persona is also good in some areas, but as >>10413917 said a lot of anime helps.

Nayrt but changing your habits is what's hard. I've seen overly skinny people try to go from living on energy drinks and nibbles of food to a normal diet and it's definitely hard for them. When you fuck up your diet like that for years, going back to real food is going to seriously mess with your digestive system. At least when you're losing weight you're mainly just hungry, not throwing up or feeling like you're stuffing yourself beyond capacity

I'm going to assume you're being earnest here and say that it's actually very difficult to gain weight if your eating habits lead you to where you are. For people that suffer from either an eating disorder or a lack of appetite their bodies become accustomed to so little that getting more than just enough food to maintain your weight will make you feel physically sick. So sick that you don't want to eat anymore, but if you're dangerously skinny you have to muscle past the urge to vomit. It took me months to get up from 120 to a totally healthy 130, just ten pounds, and I had to consistently keep eating and work up my nonexistent appetite. For 6 feet 135 is skinny but 120 makes me worry as someone that struggled with it myself. Either way I hope he's doing alright

You may be tall and light but at 120lbs at 6' you're gonna appear extremely lanky and cryptid-like and it's going to just look extremely awkward in whatever cosplay you do unless cosplays with bulker clothes like heavy coats and whatnot.

However even that might not help if you have a skinny neck due to lack of weight and in bulkier clothes it will make it look like you have a tiny head. You'll end up in a /cgl/ cosplay cringe thread I promise you.

If all else fails just go all 2005 scene twink mode you can probably get away with that if you have an attractive face.

I buy online when the cosplay is too complicated/requires materials that are hard to work with or buy. Thrift if you're comfortable with sewing/altering a lot or the cosplay doesn't have specific details. Same applies for fashion.

Think about what vibes you give off and compare that to the character. I have resting bitch face so I end up picking serious-looking female characters. Don't limit yourself though, just pick whoever you like.

Follow influencers/youtubers/random instagram users whose style you like. Then figure out which aspects of their style appeals to you and bookmark the outfits you want to wear. Try to see if there's a general trend or style, it helps to see what they're tagged as, so you can google it and find more similar outfits.

The vast majority of male characters (aside from the extremely rare buff-to-a-ludicrous-degree guy) are skinny. Not difficult to pick a character out there.
The issue is that the vast majority of these characters are also short. So, if you're anything above 5'11, you'll look odd, especially in photos with other characters from the series you're cosplaying (ie. If you're a tall Ken taking a photo with a short tsukiyama it'll look odd).

Tall is usually corroborated with built in anime; I think I can count on one hand the amount of tall, skinny characters there are to cosplay. Okabe comes to mind first.
