I had just posted this in the last thread before it died.

This is the first time in and long time I might actually be excited to see the JSK cut.

To the anon that mentioned the wristcuffs - I have a feeling Candy just put them in there for styling purposes, but it would be great if they would get rereleased again. US never got them recently rereleased like Japan, or the new colors of the Deco Heart jewelry.

This release is going to be hell...

>> No.10396297

>>10396292
It looks like it could be cotton so I'm excited for it. I'm also sad the US shop didn't get Deco Heart. Guess the anon was right that AP USA is the redheaded stepchild of the stores.

>> No.10396298

>>10396292

Damn...would have been awesome.

I honestly love styling anything with bunny motifs besides giant ear headbands, so I really want them to rerelease. I wouldn't be willing to do a Japanese phone only reservation but would definitely wait on the brand site to try and grab the pink, sax, or lav ones during a bloodbath to match my ott prints that include bunnies. AP would benefit a ton from a constantly updated "basics" collection like Meta has. Simpler sock, wristcuff, jewelry, and blouses and all would easily make them a ton of revenue.

>> No.10396308

>>10396297
The US site really sucks. We never got the Ice Cream Parlor MTO either, and it was painfully obvious that we needed one. I'm pretty frustrated at how badly it is stocked and ignored. I'm honestly finding it hard to be excited about anything when general items aren't even released at all stores.

I was trying to figure out if the new OP in the instagram post was cotton too. I don't really want to get my hopes up. It's hard to tell from the filtered picture.

>>10396298
General stock would be great. AP seems to have increased the frequency of new releases, but not the amount of production. It's pretty stupid that we have to fight over something as small as wristcuffs. It kills the magic of AP for me.

Most brands should do a little of what Meta where they produce generic, non-seasonal stuff that they keep in stock indefinitely. It’s so much easier to stay brand loyal when you know you don’t have to kill a bitch just to get plain pink socks to go with the dress you bought.

I feel you there anon. The US site has been tough to get new releases from and honestly things go *so* fast, you would think HQ would see that alone as a reason to treat it better, but some items just rot in stock forever. And SF rent isn't cheap.

Nayrt and I might actually be retarded for not getting this but how can a brand not afford to guarantee profit by selling an unlimited number of dresses for a price they can easily adjust to suit what they need to ensure they turn a profit? They just have to make the sample dress and decide on materials and pricing and not begin production until they know how many orders they have right? Sure for experimental releases they may not know how many will want it but better they not waste time or money making/putting the extra stock on sale right? For anything that would be a rereleased or in the vein of 2010s sweet style, especially jewelry, people will easily buy a MTO until space runs out similar to BABY.

>> No.10396708

>>10396695
It ends up being a situation of how the product sits and what you do with it. From the factory's point of view its a mto either way, but the difference is you wait until you have stock in hand to sell vs selling it on reserve then ordering it. By waiting all the time to order you are pushing the wait onto the customer and that can be annoying. People already get antsy about ap mtos, and Jetj has ones that take like a year or something. If they wanted to do everything MTO, you would have to do seasonal stuff for the fall by feb or something, it messes with the timing of everything. Less hype too with releases that doesnt help, no one is that hyped over baby.

For trying to keep on top of things and release reguarly its better to order before and then sell when you have stock. Especially since AP has physical stores, they need to generate business to those stores to keep them profitable. They also have their sales and events that have exclusives that also need to be done on time.

Basically mto makes sense when its small amounts you make but large businesses struggle to see it working out well

>> No.10396709

>>10396684
Ignoring everyone arguing about this...
I agree 100%.

Just limit it to something reasonable, but obviously enough, like a max quantity of 5 of the same, identical item (So that in theory you could still get like 15 JSKs). Release scalpers would vanish.

NTA but I'm confused at how so many taobao brands do all their releases as preorders/mto then. It's not like taobao brands have a lot of hype (I think)

>> No.10396750

>>10396713
Taobao has the luxury of being way cheaper (they cut costs in quality and skill) and closer to their factories and have no interest in selling stock afterwards.Their leftovers are the amount of stuff they had to order anyways for the numbers to work. Say if you have to order 100 pieces, if you only get 80 orders you have to order 100 and hope the other 20 get sold later on. But this isnt what they want, because they are wanting the money upfront, it is more costly to have stuff not sold already as they are directly using it for their costs to make it all work. If anything it is cheaper to do MTOs since you get the profit from the beginning (like how kickstarters work) but the issue is that you dont really show that you are a brand that has products...you just have ideas. Its harder to build up a clientele or get into things a real brand does like having their stuff stocked in physical stores (their own or like kera) if you never plan for things to sit around. And taobao stores are on that line of being a bit sketchy since they always seem to be one step away from just disappearing.

Ap is way bigger than other brands, so they are clearly going for a different model because of their size. They want stock, they want to release often, they want people to do blood baths. They release every other week stuff, and do way more variety in products than any taobao store. Taobao brands seem to release 1-2 dresses now and then. Other brands either have a variety of having stuff in reservation and leftovers to be normal stock (baby, vm), do only reservations with some stock set aside for storefronts (Jetj, boz), or back and forth depends on demand like Ap does (IW, Moitie). For AP their Mtos are them using the format to generate hype, as they can afford upfront costs.

In large city comms people tend to have their cliques, and be kind of uninterested in getting to make new friendd. First anon here. Yes I am using tenso as the billing address and the shipping address. It is literally the same. I am not in the US, but Canada, but its the same thing.

Go to tenso and click on the hyperlink showing you how to add the address. The one for rakuten shows you with english labels so you can see what the postal code is (the one with the 7 digits and a hyphen), and google translate to find what the city is. The rest I put into address details and used the number they list.

Again, I have opened bank accounts in the US for 16 year olds who's parents are illegal immigrants. It doesn't get much harder than that and it was mostly just a matter of explaining what paperwork the kid needed to sign. Yes, there are instances where getting a bank account is impossible but then we are at payday loan desperation levels of personal situations and you probably shouldn't be focused on buying a luxury fashion at that point.

There ARE issues with not trusting banks or not believing its possible to get accounts in some cultural circles in the US, but its more of a perception thing. bank accounts aren't loans. if you have enough money to buy a lolita dress you have enough to get a bank account.

The LaceMarket team said there was an issue so that is what they are trying to solve. And no, you aren't allowed to complain if you have no idea what you are talking about. If you did, you would have some other ideas.

K cool, glad you spent two days whining and ultimately had nothing to say other than "this is bad but I don't actually have any constructive comments."

It's just one batshit insane scammer who made what you mentioned her job for everyone who called her out. She's the latest entry in the Blacklist.

They won't give you free brand for whiteknighting this hard, you know. This obviously is an issue for new users and they just make it worse while ignoring other worse problems people complained about for years.
And I have a solution: Actual moderation, timely contact, udating the black list if there are actual new scammers.

DA, but can you clarify what groups of people do you think to be discriminated?

Honestly, I am against this new rule too, but I do because I don't think LM mods can be trusted with personal info. Plus imagine buying from BST thread here so the third party knows exact names of /cgl posters.

Anons I'm so fucking mad, I think I'm done buying 2nd for a while. Update on tag-chan

>file claim against tag-chan since it was 2 weeks since last contact with no updates
>Had to wait 3 days, the 20th goes by
>Get a refund on the 23rd from ebay, no word from seller
>Tag-chan contacts me today, the 25th with tracking. Wtf
Tracking says she shipped out on the 20th, but you couldn't have bothered to let eBay or me know?

Wtf am I supposed to do here?

Same thing happened to me with a seller on LM, still waiting for the refund( it’s been 20days), I just gave her a negative feedback but I worry if she would give me one as revenge.

Yup, truth be told I don't know why any country is allowing shipping to US atm, we still haven't finished our 1st wave lmao

>>10400685
If she actually did ship, then I'm getting my refund AND the item

Like, I don't know how you would fuck up this badly, assuming this isn't some elaborate scam

>Learn to stand up for you and your self expression.
That doesn't have anything to do with what happened. I didn't even say what I did in response which wasn't anything because it was something said in passing, so like, I wasn't really part of that discussion. There were a lot of people talking at once, and I'm not gonna cause a scene at a party because of some person who thinks they know everything about a specific subject.
I just watched those people go off and it was pretty entertaining.
Like I'm not about to be make a spectacle like that person did. I'd rather watch other people embarrass themselves.

>It’s on the same level as lor selling toy factory because she thought the bear looked like it was smoking a joint.
I keep zero tabs on lor and I don't watch her stuff or follow her on anything so I never heard of that.
But that's something I wouldn't agree with. I also don't think that pedophilia and weed aren't comparable topics.

Lewis Carroll was never confirmed to be a pedophile or anything of the sort. Yes, he enjoyed spending time with children and took photographs of them but it wasn't in that manner. He actually spent a lot of time hanging out with women his age alone, which was a hugely scandalous thing to do at the time.
