To start the convo how much of a discount you may ask before seller decides you're nuts and declines the deal?

>> No.10391789

Does any one know what is happening with Japan Post's shipping to the USA? I know it is suspended, but are the packages that shipped before the announcement being pushed through? Or are they being stored for 4 months? I've seen/heard multiple different things.

None of my packages have moved (ePacket and EMS). I thought they'd be pushed through at a snail's pace at least, but it's been longer than a month since the last tracking update.I'm starting to think Japan Post is just storing the packages. Why wouldn't they just return them? Anyone know?

WW told me that anything that was shipped before is still going to be shipped, it’s just waiting at the post office to get a plane to ship it. EMS shipping isn’t cancelled, they just stopped accepting new orders so they could get through the backlog. They said it could take anywhere between weeks and months to get through and packages stuck at the post office can’t be recalled by the sender

Original anon here. I am very jealous. I have packages from the first week of April that are still sitting at the post offices they were initially dropped off. I know it's not just one area or one package either. I have 7+ packages from Tokyo/Osaka/etc that have no updates.

I literally want to cry because my clothes are just going to mold if it takes months. God I just wish Japan Post would have returned the packages so I could have shipped again a different way.

I haven’t seen that anywhere. Unless you are inferring that posts saying that stuff sitting at the post office is “storage” which, yes technically it isn’t stored there. Stuff doesn’t get banished to the shadow realm when it enters the post office.

There are also some companies that offered storage for packages they never sent for a variety of reasons, which also may be confusing you. If you have a tracking number, yours is not in that group.

I know. I'm just saying that the other anon has no evidence, yet is saying we are spreading misinformation? I want to see whatever has led them to believe things are getting put in storage. I have multiple packages from WW that shipped before yours and they have not moved since the day they were shipped. I don't think your package will get to you in less than a month if you are in the USA.

My understanding is if USPS is in possession of the package and you file a change of address with the post office or online, it will get to your new address. Depending on what you are reading, regular "forwarding" is entirely separate from a change of address "forwarding."

Worst case scenario your stuff gets returned to Japan, or you call USPS to get this answered with 100% clarity.

Otome no sewing is not beginner friendly, It's also all in Japanese so you have the added issue of being unsure of what the directions are telling you and what the names of things are. It also gets you to make the patterns. I would recommend starting with trying to make a pair of shorts and doing some normal patterns that you make alterations to .

I'm going to be meeting my boyfriend's parents for the first time when social distancing is no more. Is wearing a toned-down daily coord a bad idea? I was thinking minimal petti, something light and cute with no fashion-specific headwear. Is all the old content about lifestyle lolita dead? I wanted to join the fashion many years ago when I was really poor and read lots the princess portal and personal blogs. I found it again via Wayback Machine, but I'm shocked that there's no new content about lifestyle anywhere. It's a bit sad, now that I'm able to afford the fashion...

Are all lifestyle lolitas dead?

I'm thinking of making a personal blog with some lifestyle stuff but I'm fairly new to Lolita (less than a year, although I've been interested in it for like 10 years now) And try to reupload some of princess portals and other content to prevent it from getting lost, and try to generate some new content as well. My English is not the best, but at least I think it's going to be fun and I can practice.
Hopefully it sparks someone better than me (more experienced in both lolita and writing) to do something similar.

If it was on LM it would be bought up instantly. And I've seen lots of BABY pieces under $200 or under $100 that are adorable but they may not be brand new. Good condition to me just means unstained, minimal print fade, no rips or tears, no shirring stretched out, even if it has been worn a lot.

I think our difference is that I only buy AP. (I kind of wish I liked other brands at this point, but the few times I branched out, I really regretted it). There seems to be a very large difference in demand for AP vs Baby.

But, there's also that you prefer the prints I tend not to avoid. I avoid strawberry prints because they introduce reds, which I dislike. And chocolate prints have brown, which I also dislike. My colors are essentially the pastel primaries and white.

If your level of sewing is great I would say go for it and do not care about the others. Even brands copy from each other and use the same fabric. Maybe not so much this days but it's definitely not a crime.

Copying a design for personal use is morally fine, but the thing is everyone will compare your quality to the brand's quality, so that's a lot of pressure.
