Terrible. The fabric and some odds n ends I needed for the last bit of my costume couldn't be found here so I special ordered. They said they had a US based warehouse so I ordered and paid extra for the quickest shipping. Find out after they took my money, that they actually ship out of Wenzhou and now shipping is apparently shut down due to their proximity to Wuhan. Wtf...If I ever actually get my order, who knows how long it'll take. I'm just trying to get my cash back now, I'll wear my normal clothes to the con dammit. And I know this is seriously a 1st world problem given the condition of everyone that is sick but I still can't help feeling (guiltily) pissed off.

no, they're really lame. most people who like them are teen girls who don't realize that dance routines and lip syncing are super basic things. most girls from these groups are pretty cringe too and think of themselves on the same level as real idols, despite being restricted to con only events. cons just put these events in to pad out the events section and make it seem like they have lots of guests.

I'm on my way now, the way I see it, even if the con gets canceled last minute (or hell, during the con they could shut it down) - I still paid for a hotel for the weekend and brought 4 cosplays so I'm gonna make the best of it. Take the opportunity to do photoshoots, be able to go outside the con and find cool areas to shoot, spend time with my friends, still get ass blasted drunk at night... I'm sure there will be others who still use their hotel stay and whoever's there, we'll have our own mini con I guess.

I couldn't believe they held out for so long. I had backup plans this weekend so I'm good but it's a shame.

I'm seriously annoyed but I got my money back for my hotel so thats nice. My family came to watch my house though and is now losing their mind since they saw me unpacking my cosplays and are convinced that a piece I bought (hair bows) MUST have the virus due to the fact that I got them online and thus I have potentially killed everyone in the house forever which is not so nice. Fucking annoying because even though I explained that they were bought about a year ago, they "probably still came from china and have coronavirus" despite it not being a thing before.

Stress always comes in waves it seems. I'm already pissed from Naka waiting until the last second, now I have to deal with stupidly dramatic old people. Can we just hurry this annoyance along please.
