You have that backwards, you should be getting the silicone filled kind as the cotton filled ones are absolute shit and shouldn't even be considered purchasing for how stiff and unrealistic they are.
Also it'd be far more useful to just post pictures of it to try and entice people from the get go.

Don't take the length into consideration. As long as it's longer than what you need, it's good. It's much easier to buy a long one and cut it than to find one with the perfect length.

For the anon that asked about the roanyer boob mold pics and how they feel I hope you're still here.

Had them for abour 2-ish weeks now and I love them so much more over the inserts I had. They're heavy but somehow quite comfortable, and god I love how sexy they make me look. The only real issues I have with these so far is the neck piece is a bit too long but apparently you can trim it down. Also mask because i didn't want to shave/ contour lol

>For the anon that asked about the roanyer boob mold pics
Yup, still here.
>They're heavy but somehow quite comfortable,
Good! You got the silicone filled ones then? Also, how does it feel in terns of how well it stays on? That's something most people don't seem to address, and between the fact it's silicon making it kinda tacky, but the fact it's not actually stuck on, leaves that in the air if you don't have one to know.
>and god I love how sexy they make me look.
That's the thing that drew me to wanting to go the silicon vest route, nothing else gets you that seamless bare cleavage look, whether with over or underboob depending on the outfit.
>The only real issues I have with these so far is the neck piece is a bit too long but apparently you can trim it down.
They're like that by design, the intention is for the end user to trim it down to length.
Also funny you're in a zero suit zentai of all things, that was my initial crossplaying end goal as well, though there was no way I was gonna go with full on face contouring, my plans were to go the fanon route with a chozo-samus, with a prosthetic beak and maybe other accessories.

Yes I got the silicone ones because I heard the cotton ones suck and figured the extra $20 will go a long ways. I never once have felt like the boobs or the actual mold was going to come off. It clings to you relatively tight but not too tight in my experience. However I always wear a wife beater/muscle shirt underneath the molds so maybe that's why. Would probably serve a similar purpose as a bra in that case, the thing I've been paranoid about is whenever it's time to get them I want to be wearing some sort of bra with them to keep em in place, so to speak, but not so much so that I'm squishing them smaller, especially given my aversion to anything frilly.

>Also I really wanna see how your chozo-samus turns out because that sounds amazing!
This is longer term unfortunately, but at least I have a (pretty bad) zentai and padding/shapewear so far.
Not thrilled at the prospect of cutting holes into the zentai for a bird tail, but at least if it wasn't particularly good in the first place so I don't feel as bad.

To hide beard you need something orange to counteract the blue so a lot of people use Kryolan TV Paint Stick

Feminine eyebrows are depending on how far you want to go but watching YouTube vids on it helps. You’re gonna need an elmer’s glue stick and lots of powder

Breasts depends on how much your budget is. Got the cash? Buy a breastplate. Want to go a cheaper route? Tape and learn to contour that shit like magic with makeup

Lots and lots of pairs of pantyhose will hide your leg hair

Legit question here since you own one of these plates. Female cosplayer but have like no chest and ribcage around 33/34inches with chest being 34/36 depending on the day and whatnot. Do you think one of these in the small size would work for me? Is there enough room inside that you think it might accommodate a less than A-cup gal? I wanna cosplay bigger titty fun character designs with cool tops but stuffing and inserts look/feel like trash even with makeup.

Asking because if I drop cash on this I want to at least be able to be optimistic it’ll work out for me haha

Not him, but when I read the comments sections for these I hear nothing but praise from women in the exact same boat using them for the same reasons.
For sizing, all of these stretch significantly, so fitting shouldn't be TOO much of a issue, and while there are specifically "small" variants (on a quick look the cup sizes don't get as crazy high with the small versions if that's something you're wanting) you're definitely gonna want to be referring to explicit sizing rather than any S/M/L, while keeping in mind they're designed to stretch a bit to fit.

The thing to remember is wherever the vest cuts off at the arms and torso is going to have a blatant ugly seam, so you have to plan what kinds of cosplay's you're going to use with it accordingly. There are varying levels of full body cover with these, all the way up to literally everything but the head, arms and feet, but the more surface area the less choice and the more expensive.
What's your shoulder width? I wouldn't of imagined there's be that much of a discrepancy with shoulder widths. Looking at your ribcage measurement (which I neglected to pay attention to the first time, sorry) you have about the same measurement around the underbust I do, maybe leaning on the smaller side, so you should be able to wear most of the more common selection of breastplates out there.

>> No.10302550

>>10302548
*Leaning on the smaller side relative to my own measurement, still within "average" torso size.

>> No.10302555

>>10302548
my shoulder width is in the 31-33 range for as far as I want the plate to be. If that means I order the plate and have to shave a little off to get it to sit where I want that's not an issue though.

If we're talking all the way across my shoulders from bone to bone I'm at 36cm to be fair

Personally I think I'll have an easier time planning around the seams than not having the ability to do the cosplays I wanted at all lol so I don't mind that part a bit!

>> No.10302566

>>10302555
So not too bad, here I thought we were talking multiple inches needing to be taken off or something.
For comparison as a average guy who doesn't have much in the way of deltoids my shoulders are ~36cm center to center of where the arms pivot, and ~45cm side of shoulder to side of shoulder.

It's all a part of the cosplay experience isn't it? Having to work around zips, impossible proportions, footwear or any other load bearing costume portion not obeying the laws of material science or being practical in the slightest for actual use. It's almost like a puzzle in a way.

>> No.10302568

>>10302566
To be honest despite being female my body proportions are more in line with that of a teenage boy. No curves on this road. So I do a lot of the same things that crossplayers do and go full on corsets, hip pads, extra makeup. It's a ton of work and took a lot of drag queen tutorials to get used to but it makes me feel like I really put in the effort to get those crazed proportions just right and I tend to be more excited about the end results.

For impossible seams if you aren't allergic to it real latex is your best friend for anything even remotely shiny in cosplay. (and if it's not shiny you just don't shine it up, HA) It costs a bit more but the end result is so amazing I've never looked back once I started using it.

If latex wasn't such a pain in the ass I'd definitely consider, but despite how amazing it looks, between having to keep it stored in a way so it doesn't tear, make sure you treat it so it doesn't tear, and generally be in a constant state of paranoia to make sure it doesn't tear, it's a bit of a turnoff for wanting to go full in.
To keep things on topic this is a character I've seen crossplayed a number of times for pretty obvious don't-have-to-worry-about-face reasons.

>> No.10302580

>>10302574
that looks fantastic! You definitely have your proportions down!

Honestly with latex I'm super weird. I take it off in the shower to wash it and then hang dry it, then fold it up and put it all in a box out of sunlight and it seems to keep it pretty well. I've never had a piece tear on me even when stretching it up my whole body (neck entry suits) but I can see where that paranoia would come from 100%

>What is the point of sizes if they aren't standardized?
There is no point, because there's no governing body like there is, say with PC components, that determines what the standards for different sizes are over the entire clothing industry. Plus there's too much variance in human proportions for such a scheme to ever actually work anyway.
Sizes are (usually) consistent within a given manufacturer, but comparing sizing between different manufactures you may as well be comparing apples and pears. So the only worthwhile answer will continue to be "Look at the measurements." And by extension look at the measurements as they correlate to the manufacturers sizing charts.

>> No.10305584

>>10305549
The thing is that you actually dont want standardization. If we actually had set sizes that were correct, if you didnt fit into that mold you would be fucked. Variance leads you to be able to say that a pair a jeans fits perfectly.

Also sizing is more than just measurements its also height, if you have a short/long torso, if you have long/short legs, etc.

Looking at your measurements you are going to fit into a small/medium typically but chances are you have wider shoulders than someone who is female so you may want to size up sometimes.

The suit is accurate, but they don't do custom sizing.
The suit is custom sized, but the print is wrong (recolored 02 suit).
They say they take custom prints and do custom sizing, but no one answers emails.

Does anyone have experience with adhesive bras? I'm considering adhesive bras, a push up bra, and stuffing to create some cleavage. Is this a reasonable idea? I'm also wondering if the original Nubra bra is worth it or if a cheaper alternative would be better like the one pictured.

I've used these a few times. They're great for anything that has a low cut back or sides, or a really deep v. I find they give me the most cleavage vs srapless push up bra because they don't squeeze your breasts to your chest with the tight band like most strapless do, and pull your breasts towards each other in the front as well which makes them appear larger. They will be heavier though, and don't have nearly as much support, so they're best in outfits that offer some support otherwise (such as dresses with a shaped and lined bodice). I have worn them all day, and they've stayed on remarkably well (I imagine they get less sticky with heavier use but for the 6-7 or so times i've worn my pair they've been fine), but they have ZERO breathability and you accumulate a fair amount of sweat under it. I like these for costumes/formal occasions but definitely not a daily wear item.

If straps aren't a concern, then a push up bra will probably be easiest, and most comfortable for all day wear. I actually like to buy convertible strapless and then use the optional straps always provided and wear with a slightly looser band than I would for truly strapless. I find strapless just have a lower neckline (breastline???) and are least likely to show through low cut shirts or tank tops. I recommend going to a few stores and trying a variety on to see what works best for your chest size and shape.

Stuffing is not very comfortable, if you're thinking of using fabric or kleenex. However if you're on a budget and can't afford a nice strapless bra, go to a sewing store and look for bra inserts. They're sold for people making dresses/tops with built in bras. But you can take these and easily handsew sew them into a bra you already own as well. I've added some to a corset I've made for a costume in the past.

Take a bath or a long shower, the hot water will soften the skin, use a pumice stone to remove dead skin and apply moisturizer/lotion. It may take some time but if you do this regularly your feet will look much better. You should also wear clean socks every day, and make sure your shoes are always nice and dry inside. If you have the budget, you can get a pedicure done by a professional, they'll know best.

These are all really ugly and haven’t been in style since like mid 2000s. Nerds have no fashion sense so it might be okay at cons but it’s a pretty big tell if you’re crossdressing anywhere outside of cons.
If you like ball gowns, the natural waist is in style now, not the lowered waist. Corsets are pretty much entirely out apart from the like sale rack of David’s Bridal and that obnoxious tacky designer they always push on every bride on Say Yes to the Dress. Same with halters. A lot of bridal gowns have corsets or boning sewn in so that there’s structure but it’s not visible so it looks more natural.

Though it's equally important to pad your hips out alongside (assuming crossdressing to look female) as doing just one or the other won't result in that great a shape. Yes, the skirt still sits on the hips, and it'll look off if the way that skirt moves around would imply a narrower hip width underneath than the visible torso curve from the corset/shapewear implies. True, but if the end goal is to convincingly look like a woman while not being an actual woman, then you need all the help you can get, and making sure the body silhouette is a far away from male as possible is part of that. Plus women typically don't have the same kind of shoulder widths men do, which the only thing that can be done for that is to overcompensate with the hips, because there's no real way to shrink shoulders.

If you want to do it on the cheap, I'd suggest making them yourself out of foam, search up "Africa pads" or "Hip pads", with whatever combination of crossdressing, tutorial, or other key words you think will work best to find tutorials.
For off the shelf, there are silicone ones that are much nicer than foam ones, but are kinda overpriced for what they are. Roanyer have some chinese knockoffs of DressTechs hip pads, as a couple examples off the top of my head. Don't use anything but the long ones, all the shorter ones don't look right when actually worn and seem to only serve to try and approximate hip width without being visible on bare legs, which doesn't work because you need the gradual curve up the leg for them to look right.

Yes, of course. These products just dissolve the outer part of the hair, but it grows back normally, like after a shave. The only way to prevent hairs from growing altogether is through several expensive sessions of laser therapy or whatever it's called in English.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've bought one and was planning to do so one of these days. I have very coarse hair so the depilatory creams I've tried haven't done much. I mostly stick to shaving with an electric Razor.

Looking ugly/creepy/like you wear childrens clothing happens really easily. And if tall women have this problem then men (unless they're very short) likely have too. As an advice, I'd definitely stay away from any heels, they only make you seem even more abnormal, you don't wanna put extra attention on your big feet. Imo the reason most brolitas don't pass or look downright creepy is because they're doing too much.

Many seem to starve themselves in order to fit into brand, while completely forgetting that this will make their body and face even more angular. Girls can get away with being skinny and still having a soft face, but most men can't. Yes, Mana-sama was also very skinny, but he always had chubby cheeks. Normal body + full face > thin body + haggard face.
Same with styling, most are choosing hyperfeminine things which usually simply don't work for them. They associate femininity with things like high heels, but that only makes you look even taller and therefore weirder. Extremely long and poofy wigs plus lots of bows are also simply too much, the contrast between that and a manly face is too extreme. Same for deep lipstick colours: a rich red or pink can even make girls look tranny-ish, so as a man you should definitely stay away from that.
I know that this model is blessed with a naturally cute face but nevertheless look what he's doing: no wig, instead an androgynous half-long hairstyle (that also looks good with normie clothes), good foundation to cover any shadows, no contouring (that only makes you look harsher), no claw-like long nails, subtle eye makeup and a bit of natural blush and lipgloss to look cuter. In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3MWlVxlwHg at ~ 6 minutes you can see how his hair looks unstyled, I think that would be a really good option for most crossdressing guys.

I've crossplayed before. Touhou characters mostly so puffy shirt shoulders hide my colossal man shoulders, and long skirts cover up lack of hips.

But I've never bothered with cleaning up my face. I dont know anything about doing makeup, but I'd like to take it a bit more seriously. How do you like find shades for your face? Am I going to need to rock up to one of those beauty stores and ask someone?

And would hip shapers give more of a girl shape to skirts or does that come down to the actual skirts more? If I wear the ones I have, they just go straight down since, yeah I barely have any hips to speak of.

I'm doing my second crossplay ever this summer, and I need some help with some of the clothes. Last one was Mina from pokemon, so just a baggy shirt and some ripped jeans, but I'm planning to go as pic related this time. I've found a good women's blazer for the top layer, but I'm basically clueless with terms for clothing so i need some help, so heres my dumbass questions.

1. Is there a better term than 'knee high skirt' to narrow down my searching?

2. What is that white undershirt called? Specifically with the neck area going over the blazer?

3. does anyone know what kind of wig would be good to use for the length? I always over/undershoot wig length.

a lot of what makes the difference is knowing your sizes and understanding how a feminine look works.(ie how to wear a skirt, pantyhose, shaving) If you're a decent enough dude, it doesn't have to be weird to ask your female friends how to do makeup and stuff, and that'll help a lot! If we ignore frame and gender. I think crossdressers can doll up as well as women. I am attracted to this female form as well. but I can also appreciate the work that goes into it. I also hate then people try to tell me why I should not like or appreciate a crossdressers.

perhaps that's what makes this appealing, is that a man can doll up as well as a woman with makeup and clothes

Not the anon you're (you)ing, but always read the measurements, not just the advertised cup sizes. Are there any good examples of female crossplayers convincingly cosplaying more "realistic" male characters? Not anime/cartoon characters. Can it be done? I already get mistaken for a guy at least once a week and there's a male character I'd like to do but I'm worried about my ability to pull it off because he's at least 15 years older than me so I have to overcome sexual dimorphism AND having a young looking face even for my age...

You can be amazed at how much facial hair ages up a face. If that's applicable to this character, you can definitely lean into that with fake beard hair to hide any feminine features.
There's a reason why you get that 'baby face' phenomena with guys who save their beards off.
Otherwise, it's all a matter of hoping you're not too pear or hourglass shaped to have your hips give you away.

(Doesn't mean go full ballooned out absurd with hips and bust, but certainly on the larger side proportionally.)

Nah, many women have pretty wide shoulders and it looks fine. My shoulders aren't too wide.

Thanks for your advice.

They are also women, which means everything else except the shoulders looks femenine. So it doesn't look weird.

If your features are mainly masculine AND you have wide shoulders there's no way you'll pass as a woman. There's some things you cannot change, so you need to modify everything else to compensate.

Beginner crossplayer here. Maybe this has been asked lots of times, but I can't find anything about.
Is there any way to make breast pads at home or at least with easy to get materials?

This. I have to admit, there are some good trannies out there but still crossdressers are better imo. Plus, I mostly jerk off to crossdressers anyway so I guess that's a bonus.

elongates and frames the eye to make it pop out, and for crossplaying purposes it just adds to the "this is what a girl would do" factor. Bonus points for anime characters who have weird exaggerated eye shapes you can replicate through winged eyeliner.

Was digging through some old files, and came to a realization: I don't think anyone's ever tried crossplaying Birdy from the anime of pic related, at least none that I can find searching for it that has photographic evidence. The newer anime's design is impractical for even literal women, but the original 80's design as shown here I think could work especially well.
>The area around the neck is covered, maybe with some tweaking so it rides higher would be optimal.
>Could have an exposed silicone breast plate, as the arm tops are covered, the neck is already covered, and if you get a longer one it extends beyond where the costume ends at the back.
>Skin color matched leggings could act as exposed leg skin like many women cosplaying do anyway, so hip padding wouldn't be an issue.
The rest of anything else would be just your standard cosplay considerations like wigs and custom costume parts.

i really wanna cosplay her but hiding my pp gonna be hard , and about the clothing you could do an alternate versiona s long as you look like her

>> No.10416502

Going through what reference I could find, I already came to peace with the fact that if I were to do it I'd have to insert a strap around the underbust line around the back as the the back of the outfit is entirely open and I'm not a fan of requiring the entire outfit be stuck on with tape. Plus would mean I could get away with a shorter breast plate.
>but hiding my pp gonna be hard
I've been surprised how well underwear specifically for that purpose works, plus that T-tape some anon was posting about in a older thread looks like it could work even better. Also helps if you don't have a monster schlong.

Never cosplayed or crossplayed before but at the back of my head I have Heather Mason as a crossplay, but I have no idea if I could ever pull it off without looking embarrassing. I've got a pretty feminine body type for a guy (wide hips, skinny as hell arms, and THIN wrists/fingers) and everywhere I go I get the near universal twink label even though it doesn't fit my personality, but even with these things working for me I don't know if I could ever do it. Is it just a matter of having your friends be into cosplay that makes the start easier?

Depending on what level of twink we're talking about, you might be more feminine in body than Heather here is. I'd say most of the work here is gonna be in the face, as you don't have the benefit of crazy proportions like you do with a lot of female characters.
If anything, I'd say just do it. Aside from the skirt there isn't anything particularly "feminine" about this outfit anyway. Though the exposed shoulders may be a challenge when you don't have the benefit of padding out hips or chest to compensate.

Face would be the hardest part, my nose is a little crooked and might possibly look too big for a girl. My brows I could easily trim and groom to look like hers, and my hair I wouldn't have to do too much to to get those highlights and styling in. My bony shoulders might save here too because they're skinny enough where you can easily see my collarbones jutting out at the top. Makeup would be its own gargantuan beast to tackle, I've never put on makeup before and would need a lot of help or even substantially more practice
