Most Sweet Cream House JSK sets seem to sell between 200 and 250. In the future, change your advanced search filters on LM to include completed sales, so you can see which price points did or didn't sell and how recently.

$200 is fair if it's been in use and all (and I'd totally buy one with my desired ribbon colors for over $200) but the claim that it wouldn't sell for more isn't exactly true.

To be really fair, it's still lower than the original retail (which is what I assumed you mean by "full price"?) while including headbow and socks.

As for the alterations, it really depends. Some amateur hacked it up -- then it's damaged and should be sold as scrap fabric. If her proof photos show that it was taken to a professional, all seams and hems are finished properly, sewing on the altered seams is straight and not drunk -- then it's still good. I can't fit into it at that size, but it doesn't change that the dress is decent and wearable.

Actually that extensive list of damages -- (possible) stains, dropped buttons, punctures, runs in the sock, possibly more damages that she overlooked -- is a bigger reason to lower the price than whether or not the dress is altered.

It's been altered to fit up to 130cm bust and similar measurements in the waist. No zipeer anymore as it's now large enough to be pulled over the head. The waist ties and back shirring and internal petticoat are all still intact and the skirt still holds a lot of volume?

Any fatty-chans or fellow busty-chans interested? What would you pay? The alteration job is reasonable and a matching AP tote was used so it's all in the same fabric of the print and no fabric from the original dress was lost.

I started the bidding at $110? If people think the dress is worth $90 and $20 for headwear isn't too pricey for me so add it together and get $110.

Most people were saying that no one would want it anyway because of the size so I'm shocked anyone cares.

I always do bidding and BIN so people can buy right away if they want because I know how much it sucks to have to try to win something when it's bid only VS just buying it right away.

Someone else suggested starting at 100 but since it includes the headbow I started the bidding at 110. If it's as undesirable as people say then one person will bid at the last second probably and get the JSK and headbow for $110. I also always include free gifts when I ship items on LM as well so hopefully that makes up for anyone feeling like they paid a bit more than they'd prefer.

I had to sell it to pay for other things. None of the dresses I ever sold actually sold for $500. Many of them actually sold for below the price it says it was bought for on LM because of arrangements being made via PM. I'm generally quite flexible and do my best to be a good seller and more often than not drop the price on items at least once.

It's really easy in lolita to love a dress and then buy and try it on or see it in person and then realize it isn't your style or that it isn't what you expected. People change styles a lot too as well. Many start in sweet and realize it doesn't suit them or they may love it but have to sell their items to afford other stuff that may be more important than lolita.

I just hope whoever has the item next enjoys it and gets wear out of it.

I haven't seen many full sets up these days, often JSK + headbow or socks, or with offbrand items that match. The white ones had a lot of trouble with the red dye bleeding when washed, so finding them stain free is hard. It looks like the mint OP with a couple of accessories fetched $250 recently, pink OP with headbow $200 but black <$150. Most of the time the JSK is going for $100-$150, depending on cut and colour - looks like there's a mint JSK languishing unsold at around the $120 mark.

I think closer to 75-100 I sold a similar dress by AatP last year and it sat until I reduced it below 100. I think most people that want that specific dress are going to want it in another colorway because that’s the special thing about the dress, the way the colors are layered. With the plain ivory you’re competing against a bunch of similar dresses by that brand(s). Plus the sizing eliminates half the buyers on lace market.

Yeah auction with no BIN is the easiest way to maximize price but with LM having issues (at least for me) lately here and there with viewing listings for periods of hours you may end up losing out if people don't/can't bid and you start the auction too low as well so be sure to start with your minimum price to guarantee you get at least that if people want it.

Some of the people listing prices they'd pay/have seen are different people. I was the person who gave prices I saw on past listings AND am the anon who said since it's popular they should honestly add at least another $20 because old school is trendy so it's not like I'm trying to keep the price low. If anything I'd want it to cost more to weed out people who don't really want the item as badly and increase my odds of buying it.

I'm an oldschooler and will shell out more if anon wants to charge more. It's so easy to search past listings on LM that I didn't think I needed to link since I've never seen people do that a ton in this thread before.

Yes, the shirring is holding up very well. I've bought it from someone that said it was worn only once (which in this case might actually be true lol) and I only tried it on but didn't like the way it looked on me. It was a DD so I kept it for many years but I need to quit hoarding stuff I don't wear. Which is why I need to start selling a lot of my stuff. The bust/waist is quite forgiving, my bust is 85cm and I think it will fit <95cm bust but it will probably not look very nice if you go over that. Also, the bodice is short in this highwaisted cut which might be problematic for big boobs. The elastic in the sleeves might be problematic for plus sizes or large biceps as it's quite tight.
