She's got a petticoat at least, I'd give her points for that. And the shape of the dress is kinda vaguely in the right direction, but whatever is happening on top kind of needs to go. I think she's wearing a normie blouse with a ""frilly"" front bit under a pinafore-dress, and that front frilly bit is just really ugly, it doesn't even sit under or over the jsk right and is half-in and half-out of the dress.

Though, the rest of the coord is as you say, kinda shitty budgetlita. Nevermind the kids' costume-tier bat headdress, that cat bag just never really looks right on anything other than a lightweight cheap-looking taobao dress, this dress is too solid and kind of brings out how flimsy the bag is. Bloating is a pretty common thing for most people that could make a skirt that regularly fits perfectly really uncomfortable. For women, through the month their weight can fluctuate by as much as 5 lbs just from fluid retention. Or, it's nice not to feel pressure if you happen to have a bigger meal at your meet.

There was a smol tiny Japanese girl who layered jsks over OPs and looked pretty good doing it, so that's why western lolitas started trying it out. If you left it at "doesn't look good, not worth the trouble" you'd have saved yourself from being outed as a newbie.

Should have gone with a tea-length petticoat so that it covers most of the fatty legs, and then colour-blocked her feet, maybe with some platforms or heels to lengthen them.
