Is there a long wait to get food from that place during NYCC? I might have to check that place out if it's possible to get a meal relatively quickly there during the con.

I either: walk to a not-convention area and have some local food or drop $20 on groceries for the room/bnb I'm in. I like staying in bnbs because access to a stove lets me eat well and super duper cheap (omelettes all day and night). My earliest cheapass escapades involved just carrying around Costco protein bars in my purse.

Ramen as in instant noodles or actual attempts at Ramen?

At Sakura-con I would suggest taking the light rail in Chinatown. Only ten minuets away, no major lines cause not a lot of people do it.

Anything good near Katsucon? I'm not paying the Gaylord's or maid cafe's insanely high prices and it's been almost 10 yrs since the last Katsucon I went to

I like nando’s peri peri but so does everyone else at katsu so it’ll be crowded and sometimes the more popular things sell out. They have various chicken parts which are grilled in various sauces. I try to eat there at least once during the con because they are a chain but aren’t in my region.

For NYC you'd be doing yourself a big favor taking the trip to KTown on 32nd. Ton of places from cafes to bbq and an Hmart for asian snacks.

For NYCC / ANYC: There's a food market called Gotham West Market a few blocks up from Javits with a variety of stalls and good ice cream.

Hudson Yards has opened in the past year and they have some food, mainly a chicken place, a Shake Shack, and a small grocery store with a hot/cold dish bar where you pay by weight.

>>10262632
There's an Elevation Burger and a Subway about a 10 minute walk from the Gaylord. Elevation Burger can get pretty crowded during prime time but its not bad. Seconding Nando's as well

Yes I can recommend the places there. The kitsune udon was really good along with the other choices there. Its Japanese fast food but it was so damn good
