I've never sown anything this big before, and I still have the rest of my costume to do. It's so exciting!

I was saying that theirs turned out much better than someone who tried way too hard to make their outfit recognizable. There's a different between actually matching someone's aesthetic and just throwing a ton of stuff on that's a certain color. On most days of the week I think lazy is less offensive than being vomited on by one color and some merch. And on every day of the week anything is better than a wig and a kigu.

I'm a big time armour cosplayer. I've been recently leveraging my 3d artist skills for cosplay, moving away from worbla and EVA foam. My most recent work is my personal Goblin Slayer set and a Rance commission.

I've been a fan of 40k for a while, and decided to put together a cosplay of a dark eldar warrior since I love their look. This pic is from Wondercon, might wear it again for the next wondercon since my friend is putting together a dark eldar incubus. It should look better on my now that I've lost even more weight and bulked up a bit around the torso and shoulders.

I’m also wheelchair bound and have gained some weight due to my lack of mobility and both things have made me really self conscious

Here's pics from the only 2 photoshoots I've done, but while I'm here anyone have good tips in terms of posing for photos? I scheduled a photoshoot this week and I've had a few people tell me my poses look like I'm stressing or are unnatural (pics). My friend who did one of my shoots suggested I practice not only the pose, but to practice relaxing my body while doing said pose, but what else can I do?

A thing that helped me is moving into a pose. Like instead of starting the pose as is, start from an earlier point and then stop mid-movement. Hope I’m making sense lol. It keeps you from looking like you’re holding a yoga pose. Another thing is, yea, testing your poses in the mirror. As for real criticism it's impossible to do that with this cosplay in particular, because it's not a real cosplay in the first place. Scrolling through your feed I can tell you that you look super cute as Misato and Asuka, and you make a nice Ashe as well.

However, I'd reccommend laying off the heavy shoop from here on out. A little bit of filtering is fine, we all do it, but when a picture makes me question if I'm wearing my glasses when I know I am, that's definitely way past too far.

(Also if you really are underage like your beach Ashe post from 7 weeks ago says, you really shouldn't be here)

here's a bunnysuit i did for an understructure for a mew lettuce cosplay recently! i did finish it but the top piece (not pictured) was done in a rush and i want to remake it still. i was proud of how the bunnysuit turned out though so thought i'd share! first time sewing a corset. the boning isn't trimmed/no top binding in this pic, so my arms are a bit up to avoid being poked but the posture is much more relaxed in the finished piece.

Foam armor tip: you can fill in a lot of those gaps and clean up a lot of those seams using cheap caulk. Just fill it in along the area you want to smooth over and then wet your fingers and spread it around until you have a nice, smooth transition. Once you seal and paint over it you shouldn't be able to tell there was anything there at all, and its one of the tricks that really helps bring a costume up in quality.

Woodland Scenics makes a foam putty that's even better. Once it cures, it's basically the same consistency as EVA foam, so it won't look all fucked up texture-wise when painted.

If you are sealing your foam with layers of mod podge/plastidip, you wont notice the texture difference anyway because there is another layer on top of both.
