It's Saturday and I'm already tapped out for the weekend. I think I would've had the stamina to attend all four days if I hadn't waited through the 4 hour mismanaged lines on Day 1 and actually gotten sleep instead of crunching the whole week (but especially the night prior) before the con. It looks like everyone is having a lot of fun today, so bring me back good stories!

Also blogging, first time at AX. Too many God damn people. You can't do more than two things a day unless they're ticketed and you're guaranteed a spot. Also came with my gf, and she's not able to last all day so after 6/7 it's usually just back to the hotel for the night. Spent day 1 in dealers room alone, spent day 2 doing stuff, maid cafe, Gundam panel, and Aquors concert. And today we tried to hit up the AA, but it's shoulder to shoulder so we just left. Gonna try again in the morning, hoping the Sunday crowd is smaller, but we know some of the artists might not be there.

Pretty much every problem I had this weekend came down to over crowding. Not gonna come back unless they go somewhere bigger or reduce how many tickets they sell.

I'm not >>10214226 anon, but I did AX last year as con help for a big name exhibitor in the Exhibition Hall, and I totally agree a normal pass is totally not worth it. If you're dropping that much on merch get a premier pass. It's worth it just to avoid waiting over an hour to just get into the fucking building alone in the morning. Plus if you can get into the Exhibition Hall an hour earlier (I recall that was a thing last year) it's ABSOLUTELY worth it. You can grab your special limited edition merch first and get on with your day.

I had **a ton of fun** at AX last year, but I was with a vendor and all I did was work Exhibition Hall hours, not attending any panels or concerts. The Con pretty much rolled the red carpet out for me. We had a sweet rooftop party one night (free food and drinks, DJs, super swank) and I had a blast. Our exhibitor got like 15 VIP tickets to the cosplay deviants party and that was a blast. I was entertaining someone that does translating and localizing from Japanese to English, and this guy was from Japan and a total herbivore nerd. At the cosplay deviants VIP after hours party there were scantily clad / naked dancers **really** getting up in your face if you tipped them well. The Japanese guy was super modest and shy, but I stuffed a bunch of singles in his hands and literally held them out and made them grope and grab the dancer's ass, among other things.

Good times. I'd love to say I'm having a blast again at AX this year, but nope, I drew the short straw and I'm working at Anime Midwest right now. Fuck me.

Otherwise, it's generally a good to go. And hey, you could always ask if it's a good time for them. Th best times was when they used to have the dance, karoke, and video rooms at the Westin. Place was just so full of life 24/7. Especially after hours. It was almost like a con in of itself.
