lots of people say it fits weird but it fit me very well. i have broad shoulders and a wide ribcage, 34b 25w and with the waist ties it fits really well. i didn't have an issue with the velveteen collar laying weird or anything and it's probably the nicest BL piece i own. i think it's just one of those things that you have to have the body type they had in mind when drafting it

I have 90cm bust 70cm waist and size M fits me perfectly. Arms are a little tight around where the puff part ends so you may want to size up if you have particularly thick arms.
Fabric is really thick and soft, lace is good. As mentioned bib part is also made of velvet, which is the only complaint I have about the dress.

I had the set as one of my first lolita purchases. The ribbon lace leaves a lot to be desired, it's a bit rough and sort of pilled weirdly after one or two washes. The cotton lace on the neckline and hem is actually pretty decent, and the measurements were true to size. All in all I'd say it'd make a good casual dress, especially as it's machine washable. If I remember correctly you can just snip the stitches holding the bows on to make it look more polished.

I think I agree with you honestly. I'm not sure about the contrasting ribbon lace on the blouse, but in the pink, sax, and brown colorways it looks nice from what I can see. Personally, the red and black ribbon on the blouse is too much contrast for my taste, but I could see why someone would like it. Not sure about the lace quality from the pictures alone, but it is bodyline, so quality is always a toss up. It could be nice or it could be shit. And it is a set, so you can wear all these pieces separately if you wanted to.

Bodyline hasn't been really, REALLY chip since 2011 or so. I remember way back in the day nothing was above $25, back during the good old years of the fruits parlor replica. You are a few weeks too late anon. They had a storage clearance recently and threw a lot of different dresses and shoes in various sizes and colors up for sale. Some of which that weren't available for years (like l348).

If it's some consolation for you, they recently started restocking some of their old stuff, especially solids, and preview them on their instagram a few weeks in advance, see also >>10189226. It's quite slow though and only happening in smaller bulks every other month. Pic related was one of the recent pieces they announced to restock.

their shoes are still the best out there, my 10+ year old bodyline shoes hold up better than any brand or secret shop ones i have.

their costumes are the same quality as always, made out of that weird fakey synthetic polyester type fabric.

I purchased the new cutsew dress with the cat on it, and it's alright, it's made out of sweatshirt material, the collar is removable and if you take it off it does look like a sweatshirt. It's sturdy and warm, but the print isn't great, it's the type of printing that I know would met if i were to wash and dry it in the wrong conditions.

I think its less that their quality has improved and more that they stopped making some of their more weird and risky pieces.

Unfortunately for my pair, I got them when I was a teen and didn't take proper care of them, so they have some scuffs and scrapes. I tried repainting some of the marks and they covered up really well, though. The tricky part is trying to find a matching shade of pink.
It's been about 9 or so years that I've had them and they've outlasted any other footwear I've owned from around that time. Bodyline shoes are seriously something else.

I mean both statements don't contradict eachother. Bodyline pieces can be quite accomodating for chubbies. The reason why they're always sold out is fairly simple though. Bodyline neglected their product line-up for years and never bothered with properly restocking, which is why mostly small sizes were left. And on the rare ocassion of them restocking certain dresses or costumes, larger sizes sell out the fastest, which is why you never see them unless you're really early.

Atleast from an economical standpoint it could make sense for Bodyline. Less shoe sizes means less expenditure for them. They don't have to order a huge number of sizes of each shoe model and color, therefore have to deal with less leftovers and less "wasted" storage space while still covering the majority of sizes for their main customer group.

Yes, P-mail means you're only shipping one item. However, you can use it multiple times. I've split up a large order into singular P-mail packages and got free shipping for everything that way. Receiving a new package every day was pretty exciting, too, not gonna lie.
Also I'm not sure if this still applies, but I was able to use my points balance on every order without the amount of points going down. So I was able to use my 300-some-odd points 5 different times in a row.

sorry for the late response, I've been travelling the past few days! going to note here that I don't have any brand blouses to compare to and I'm fairly new, but it's not bad at all. the material is stiff but not papery and gross like l364. the lace is all cotton cluny/crochet lace so it's very soft and imo pretty nice looking. the satin ribbon bows are about as cheap looking as you'd expect, I'm probably going to remove the chest bows at the very least. overall, i have a few bodyline blouses and this one is my favorite so far.

I feel like I'm gonna have to defend the petticoat and L217. I got the set just for the beret, and I know the jacket and skirt will probably suck. For the petticoat, I want a very low poof petticoat, and I know bodyline is notorious for weak pettis. Even if it does end up being worse than I expect, it was only ten bucks, so whatever lol. I'm also kinda worried about L082, but my friend has it in pink and it's pretty cute, so I took a risk.

I have this dress and love it for daily wear!
I ended up removing the vertical ruffles, and taking the bows from the ends of those and replacing the ones on the bodice with them.
Also, the pearl chain on the bolero is removable.

Great blouse and has held up a long time for me. Just be warned, the collar is massive, but in a cute kind of way.
It's actually good paired with L168 because the collar does well at hiding the thick straps (that aren't really straps, it's more like a sleeveless OP if that were a thing.)

I have l352 in sax, I actually love it! I find the bodice really flattering, and it's kind of a stiffer, more gauzy cotton that holds it's shape really nice. It has a subtle metallic thread running through the pattern, but I surprisingly don't hate it. The lace and ruffles are really small so they don't look gaudy.

It absolutely is very nice! One of the best Bodyline pieces I own, I have no clue why they’re calling this a costume.
The fabric is thick, so it falls nicely. It’s Polyester and not too nice when it’s really hot, but it’s an awesome piece for spring/autumn.
Just be careful with the sizing, the waist measurements are not very forgiving.

The material is polyester, but thick, flexible and not costume-y. It’s similar to the polyester Seraphim uses for their dresses, if not a little nicer. I have L606! It's polyester like another anon said, but I find it that good mid-weight polyester where it's not too heavy for a moderate summer day but not to light to wear in winter with layers. It also resists wrinkles like a champ.

It's well constructed for bodyline and easily one of my favorite pieces from them. Super comfy and it has buttons all the way down the front so it's easy to get in and out of for my lazy days when I want something super casual. It can't hold a super poofy petti, but it does look better with some poof.

My biggest gripe is the headbow. It's massive and only has a small haircomb to hold it on, and it's too big for the casual look of the dress. I just chucked it in a bin and wear it with berets or simple solid colored headbows.

Overall, I'd say it's worth a buy, but regular price is a bit much for it personally. I snagged mine on one of their biannual 50% off sales and I don't regret it.
