I've found that Lounge 21 is a good place to rest and cool off. There are sofas and water fountains. The MOGRA party last year was my favorite AX18 event as well. Really stoked to see MOGRA again on day 2

Trust me, scheduling has never been my favorite with my panels.
Last year I ran 2 pokemon panels, and the first one was Day 0 and all the panels were empty, and the other one was Day 4 during the Pokemon Go community day and most people were outside catching shiny shit.
Waifu Wars was also only in a room of 300 despite like 3k people wanting to go on the app, which was a huge number placing it in the top 20 panels last year.
This year it was almost not accepted even.

God, i'm so tired of cos crunching, planning and paying for cosplays.

Wigs take hours to style and I don't find it particularly fun.
Makeup takes hours to apply (and you need to do a test run before the con). And then it fucks up my skin for weeks or makes existing acne worse.

Oh and I only cosplay shit from weird or obscure series/games that is only recognized by my other friends in the community. So there's like, little or no "clout" to be gained.

Sorry if I wasn't clear -- getting attention is cool, but I am not so desperate for it that I cosplay characters I'm not interested in to get it. I only cosplay characters from niche ass series I am interested in.

Getting attention is important because it's affirmation that I did a cosplay well, whether that means I styled the wig well, my makeup was done well, the styling was good, I look attractive, etc. I also enjoy taking pictures of myself in cosplay and being pleasantly surprised at my transformation from plain -> in costume.

I do not think cosplaying is "fun" for reasons other than positive feedback and impressing myself with new skills/looks.
