I took really shitty care of my teeth for a long time in part due to depression but because I apparently have good teeth genetics they still haven't turned yellow.

As long as they're not riddled with cavities and falling out, or you've got chainsaw mouth, and not aiming to be a model or fashion icon, teeth are sort of irrelevant.

A lot of things can cause teeth to look this way. You can practice good dental hygiene obsessively, but if you've got genetically poor enamel or you regularly drink beverages that stain your teeth, they're going to be yellow.
