The colors are bad for this. Notice in all those pictures you posted they have rich colors. This will help people recognize what you are going for. You can maybe get around it, but it is a key visual cue to that style.

The fabric of your head scarf is wrong. The sheer fabric doesn't go with the style you are trying for. Look at this photo from Baby. It may not be exactly what you are going for but the head piece is similar. You might be able to find silk scarves that will work.

The cardigan is too normal. I think overall more natural textures will help bring this look toward what you are looking for. If you look at the photos they all have thicker knits which might be something to look at.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the concrit! The cardigan is BABY, but I agree a textured one (or a blouse) would give a more vintage/folk feel. Pastels and bare legs aren’t all too uncommon (like in these cards; the tradition and style is a bit hard to communicate in a few pics) but OTKS would translate better to lolita. I attempted to make the headscarf look more delicate/match the tulle, but an opaque one might have communicated the look more clearly. I will try to make a better one next year!

The fabric would need to be much thicker than normal saris but it could be draped around the petti with less pleats to make up for the increase in yardage (or maybe just no pleats at all in front).
