I'm a little curious now because I use AC as background chatter to my own sewing projects, but what's the tea on her other than her cosplay compliment fishing before she flounced? How is she generally regarded by the historical costuming community? I noticed when I watch the videos of other costumers/vintage enthusiasts, they are very careful not to mention her.

>>10129570

Historical costumers are even bigger autists about accuracy and doing things correctly than salty craft cosplayers, so no, I can't imagine her half-assed pseudo researched original designs are well regarded.

I like her videos as background noise too, she has fun ideas even if her fit isn't perfect or her designs aren't very accurate. I just don't look to her as a craftsmanship model.

Don't know much about her, but after a quick search it looks like she's more into the aesthetic side of the historic costumes rather than actually trying to make them look like what an average person would've worn. Definitely not a reliable source, but fun to look at, like the other anons have said.

I don't recall her ever having beef with specific people but here's all the tea I can serve:
>used to cosplay hentai characters when she was 14
>wanted people to make sexual remarks about her, especially her legs, when she was 14-16
>acted holier than thou on Tumblr and here for doing really basic things
>claimed to be self-taught but then retconned that after anons pointed out that she had previously said that her mom and grandma taught her how to sew
>was bratty as fuck and didn't understand that normal people didn't have unlimited time and money like she did
>stole designs (Sakizo's Julietta Princess and Chotronette's Ivy Garden Sorbet) and tried to pass them off as her own. Later added "Sakizo-inspired" to her Julietta Princess ripoff after being called out on it, but still hasn't owned up to her Chotronette ripoffs.
>"For someone who says they're trying to like me, you aren't trying very hard"
>used to claim that her historical garments are highly historically accurate despite using plastic sequins and polyester fabric, later dropped this claim after being laughed at by the historical costuming community.

Drama surrounding her is mostly because of her attitude and lying. She's never been involved in "real" drama.

Everyone's a little shit at that age, I won't hold it against her, but the ripping off designs is shitty. Which dress was the Sakizo ripoff? The red and white renaissance one?

Dunno if it's on topic but i actually made a conscious effort to curate the things i follow on social media, so i don't stain my eyes with costhottery. Good IG hashtags to follow when you want only the craftsmanship are #foamsmith and #propmaker, didn't see any thots in these. Anyone got any ideas for hashtags about cosplay sewing or embroidery?

Yeah I don’t hold her brattyness from that time against her and she seems to realize now that she was in a unique situation.
Pic related the attempted Sakizo ripoff but imo it looks nothing like Julietta Princess.

#cosplayinprogress and #cosplaysewing are other good tags.

She made this dress in 2013, and Sakizo's Fantasy of the Dream came out December 2014.

If it's the same as #cosplaywip then it's already infested with thots posting their finished selfies with no actual progress pics to be found anywhere. I swear that hashtag doesn't even has any pics of what it's supposed to represent.

lol this looks like she was trying to make a cosplay but then gave up on half the details

Honestly the best way to avoid costhots is just to block them so that they don’t show up when you look for them. They’re always looking for new wats to promote their tits.

>always looking for new ways to promote their tits.

I don't know why but I genuinely laughed at this. It's true. It's just the way you said it that makes it funny.
