Starting with one of my favorites! His style is the embodiment of 60's shojo manga, and he's illustrated many fairytales. I love the way he draws lace and flowers. Despite his massive body of work, I've only ever seen one costume based on his designs, which is really a shame!

Hannah Alexander

Hannah's work is pretty well-known and well-cosplayed already but I wanted to mention her. She mostly redesigns existing characters, her Disney princesses being the most popular. If you want to cosplay something of hers, you can join the group "Hannah Alexander Cosplayers" on Facebook.

Jeong Won An / Maggi

Maggi's the creative director for the game "Tree of Savior", her designs are incredibly intricate. I think she's on the rise cosplay-wise recently!

Sunset Dragon

SunsetDragon's work is also focused on redesigns and gijinkas, if you were at Katsucon 2017 or saw pictures you may have seen a big group of Final Fantasy summons, she designed a lot of those! I love how vibrant her art is.

Dessi Desu

Dessi's also a fantastic cosplayer on top of her gorgeous art! I've been eyeing some of her designs for a while, but I don't know which one to pick

Gii's work is often inspired by drag, and she plays with silhouettes a lot. She also did quite a few pokemon gijinkas, J Hart recently cosplayed her Butterfree design, you might have seen that.

Japhers is pinoy and often mixes traditional filipino wear with high fashion, the result is really delicate and very unique! It's a lot of hot guys in more or less revealing outfits, but there are also gorgeous ladies and lolita in their work.

This is a fantastic idea for a thread! I haven't heard of most of these artists but their work is so, so pretty, I'm making new cosplans as we speak. Thanks OP!

Nikkie's art is very stylized, with strong lines, delicate transparencies and dripping beads and crystals. With her simplified shapes and limited palette, there's room for a lot of creativity in translating her designs to real life!

Anyways, to contribute, Nao Tsukiji's art is gorgeous and requires a lot of challenging techniques in order for the cosplay to look good as well.

aka Moebius, my mom is a big fan so I read a lot of his graphic novels growing up, though I was probably too young for them. His work was so influential on pop culture in general, even Hayao Miyazaki cites him as an influence and I think you can really see that in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind especially. I hate NoFlutter designs like nobody's business. Incredibly poor Idea of construction technique, tacky as all fuck, and her body proportions are weird and wonky for someone who draws so much, not to mention her weird af facial expressions and inability to make any character look anywhere but up and vaguely to the side.

I can always judge the caliber of a cosplayer by their eagerness to cosplay her shitty designs, which always, ALWAYS come out looking like trash.

Her twitter has been a lot of other stuff recently. Also there's il Tappeto Rosso which has tons of gorgeous art other than trinity blood. Scans are rare though, and getting my copy of it was really hard so i guess those are also contributing factors.
