Honestly, I would be interested in reading about what they say just so I can kinda hear/see the struggle in order to understand. As I said, I understand they don't feel explaining all the time. I was just pointing out that i wouldn't mind them discussing it in general groups as the people above made it sound as if it would be annoying to non-black people. We had an Asian ita a few treads ago, and then a few more got posted because this conversation got up.

A few weeks before that a Chinese girl in a tea length dress with sneakers.

I also remember a few months ago another Asian girl got posted. But the reactions where mixed between not lolita but cool and ita.

I think the issue is more that Asian countries have their own websites and not many of the people who are on there are also on here posting. Not much of the Chinese comm goes to CoF to post. So we just see them less? Another issue might be that their culture is much more appearance based for woman so they tend to care a bit more for pictures they post online (even when they got a bad face, they aren't as often fat and are often more taken care off making them overall look better, with some exceptions ofc), and the Chinese photoshop the hell out of everything making it look better too. Streetwear lolita there is way more casual and way less coordinated tho, but no pictures of that.

Other than that, we still got the fact that many typical "Asian" features are considered cute by western standards, and a lot of westeners have trouble telling apart pretty Asians from mediocre Asians, so unless you're really ugly you more quickly look good to the largest group of 4chan users because of your pretty face, and pretty people simply look good in bad outfits more easy. Pretty Westeners have the same pro, but we are more used to seeing them so it's "easier" to differentiate meh from pretty. Asians have the same with white people tho. Call mediocre or even ugly white people pretty, and struggle keeping people apart. It has been scientifically looked at and has a name, but forgot said name.

Honestly, I feel lolita clothes are stronger than people realise. With the same normal daily wear as with my fast fashion clothes I never snagged fabric, nor did I ever get any stains I couldn't remove. This is the thing. Like very ugly people we recognise on the spot, anyone does. Kinda like if it's big enough you can't miss it.

But when you're not used to seeing many different people of a certain race all the time, the pretty, average, and not pretty but not gross/horrible are hard to differentiate. Basically all who don't look entirely horrible look at least ok. This counts towards any race. Asians who are not used to seeing white people (especially those who live in those countries still, outside of touristic area, and use the Asian side of the internet) have trouble differentiating white people, and call people we consider ugly beautiful.

There have been multiple studies of this, it's quite an interesting thing. Other than actual studies, there are also some fun youtube videos with are not so scientific but fun to watch, like there is this one where (I think it where) Koreans would get photo's of some famous white people (5 photo's of the same person, multiple persons) and need to order them on person. Like I said, those kind of video's aren't scientific and such a simple game with I think around 6 people or so is no evidence in itself, but they more fun to watch/read than the actual scientific papers (unless you're really interested, then go read those, there are a few) and can give you an idea about it.
