She looks really good here. Clear and glowy skin, shiny hair. Not at all spoopy or ana chan, just thin, which is perfectly fine.

Wow. I never knew she was chubby. I had seen that photo before and I thought it was someone else.

>> No.10196403 [View]

Who wears the IG op though? People more on the chubby side, of course. This is no big secret.
That's a given, we do know which mmm op are big, you know!

>>10196210
Was probably an attempt at wry humour.
Everyone knows that the more moitie sells, the better their business will go and the more releases we will get. I'm patient, and I don't really like the SM print. I didn't like Sleeping Garden either but I was glad to see it re-released and mmm doing really well. I can hope they fix the hot glue problems and step up quality control on construction though.

Did anyone check on the tags to see if the newer releases of mmm are still actually made in Japan? JetJ is, Antique Beast is, Naoto’s things are, so are Alice Auaa. The rest of the brands I'm unsure. Need to read tags.

I don’t get the obsession with where things are made but no, they aren’t in Japan. I have gardenia and it says South Korea, same as Sg.

>> No.10196424 [View]

>>10196413
I'm not obsessed but that's a claim to both the higher prices and better quality construction and attention to detail, if the pieces are still made in Japan. It used to be a Japanese brand point of pride. And mmm made in Japan didn't usually have the quality control issues very much that people are now describing.

>> No.10196430 [View]

>>10196424
Qc issues have been in the accessories not the dresses, so it is a moot point.

We need to get past the idea that made in Japan is ideal, most brands moved in because it isn’t sustainable. Their factories are closing down all the time it’s hard to function unless you are small like AB.

>> No.10196431 [View]

She's like the definition of healthy average/normal here, what are you smoking

>> No.10196436 [View]

>>10196430
You did not read the QC issues in the dresses, I guess, and inaccurate size issues too? They are both a thing. Not saying that it’s because of where they are made, just that it’s currently happening more frequently than it used to so heads up.

>> No.10196443 [View]

>>10196436
It is because of where it's made.
Not the country so much as the factory and being stringent with what quality you'll accept from the manufacturing process.

>> No.10196450 [View]

>>10196443
Since it’s a newer place with different lace etc, let’s just hope things will get sorted out and settled. But meantime, it’s good to keep an eye on it. Mmm prices are too high to have lesser quality, and with limited sold out releases, bad QC can mean the difference between dress or no dress if you have to try to do a return due to a defect.

>> No.10196452 [View]

It's okay to admit that you're from burgerland and don't have a concept of what's normal.

Nayrt but also a burger and I think the second photo seems chunky. It’s obvious from the thinner photo that Risa is really very small boned and not muscular at all so people thinking the second photo looks ‘healthy’ might be mistaking the solidness of her legs for toned muscle when it’s obvious from the thinner photo that her muscles are also tiny and proportionate to her frame, not larger or especially toned or built at all. Rather the opposite.

So you're just speaking out of your ass then. Just because you saw a "chubby girl"(for asian standarts) in a streetsnap doesn't mean it's a chubby girl fashion. In the last oldschool thread was a source that showed even im 2002 they complained about metas "big" sizing.

I wasn't giving that as a reliable source, obviously, I was trying to remember the context and find it because there was a discussion. I know I've actually seen a couple of things about it but I'm just not remembering where. There's absolutely some context for it, no one just pulled the notion out of their ass. But since it's not really even that popular in Japan as a fashion anymore these days, laying hands on niche fashion media content from a decade ago takes some digging to turn up. I'm also not that invested in ’convincing anyone’ either, I know what I've read and seen, I could give a shit less about what others think.

Comparing the sizing in new AP pieces to gyaru brands should tell you something though if you have eyes. But I know most of you don't shop for lolita clothes in person so that may be lost on you too. *shrug*.
