Any clue how to attach the gold trim around the dress collar without making it look messy (loads of seperate pieces, fraying edges, etc.)? I just can't wrap my head around how I'd cut it to begin with.

Didn't see an active wig thread so I thought I'd start here: I'm trying to style / cut down a long bob wig into Megumin's style but have never done it before. Asked a few friends and got really mixed responses as to methods, some say just cut, whereas others have suggested thinning and slowly bringing length down. Any ideas on how best to do this, particularly the shorter back?
