>What fabrics you used
For the cape/cloak, I used a heavy suiting wool, the shirt is a cotton linen, the vest is a faux suede, and the pants are a drapery fabric I found that I liked the coloring of.

>How you styled your wig
Just sectioned off some of the more prominent spikes and used some got2b spray and wax over it. After I had the more specific spikes down, I mussed it up a little more sporadically. Sadly, the wind often decides to mess it up further.

>What techniques or tricks helped in making your props
The base of the staff is PVC pipe with L connectors that I heated a bit so they would go a little beyond the 90 degree angle they started with. I then cut out a section in the base and inserted a battery pack for the EL wire. I covered the entire thing in loose masking tape and newspaper, crunching and twisting it as I went along, building up some areas to make it look knotted and gnarled. After about 2 rolls of tape, I started the painting process. Several different shades of brown, and then some white and silver paint added with a sponge. Then I drew in some frost "veins" with a silver paint pen. plugged in the EL wire and twisted it all around and finished. Sadly, the light does not often show up well in pictures, but in person, it looks really neat.
