6627000

I used a nikon d300 for mostly one year and in the last 6 months I moved to my dad's old D3, I love how the details are way less grainy.

My biggest problem isn't camera quality or even camera settings (I usually shoot on S and manually change time and exposition to match the situation unless I'm using a flash then I just go full manual), the problem is that I still haven't figured how to take good pictures, my angles are pretty basic and my post processing is nothing remarkable, what should I do to improve?

Also when shooting with a flash usually wigs and stockings, especially those transparent ones, give back an awful light reflection that usually ruins most of the atmosphere.
How do I fix that? Is there a post processing trick I could use or maybe I need to do some trickery with some piece equipment?

Pic is an example of the effect but I guess you guys should know about this already
