A couple things about everything:

Yeah, Ren Cen sucks and can't handle the amount of people Youmacon brings. HOWEVER, it's the biggest place in a 5 hour drive. There is nowhere else to go, other than move the whole thing to Chicago. Youmacon is literally gotten that big.

The thing about the programs last year is a "friend" of a staff member said "Hey, I have a giant printing business and I'll do all your printing for cheaper than you currently get it!" They went with that "friend" and got screwed over big time. I hear that Morgan is still going through court to sue the guy because that was a huge issue not having programs on time last year. All of the staff was probably more upset than any of the congoers it seems. My staff friends still bring this up as the worst thing from last year and guarantee it will not happen ever again.

The Ren Cen literally is the safest place in all of Detroit. Hell a year ago at Oyahocon my friends car had a window smashed in one of the main parking lots, and I think that is the worst that happened at the Ren Cen before. However, Detroit itself hasn't been very good about handling things, because Youmacon is too big for them even. The city was supposed to handle the people mover passes last year and since it's Detroit, the people they hired to do it basically forgot and then didn't do a good job at all. The walk to cobo is cooler anyway because of MUH FIST. I was sad last year that I didn't see more cool cosplay pictures at it. There were a couple but not nearly enough.

Lazytown: FUCK YES.

The Pony girls are typically fun and don't take themselves too seriously other than to be cute and funny and silly. The BRONIES however are a different animal and they scare me.

As for the bridge, there are only certain times each year that Pedestrians or bikes are allowed. This is because the bridge owner doesn't want people getting over "cheap". The bridge is not owned or managed by Detroit or Canada at all.
