I recently went out and bought Maybelline Dream cream foundation. I'm super new to foundation application and I don't know what I'm doing!

Do I need to get a moisturizer, primer, and/or powder to put on top?

If yes to any of those, what kind should I look for?

My skin is maybe a little bit oily on my cheeks? A very subtle amount, if at all. I'm not too sure. And in the past when I've put on powder my nose gets really flaky, but I'm not sure if that's because of how I've put it on or my skin or what kind of powder I was using.

Also I have a kabuki brush and a liquid foundation brush, are either of those good for applying cream foundation? If not what should I be using?
