ha. I had the exact same issue with my old suit's maker. they did a literal recolor of my character. my fault for getting a suit from who I did, but it was in 2016 and had no idea they had a shitty rep. (pic related, mines on the right.)
but, yeah. no. it's not wrong to feel like shit about it. I reached out to the makers themselves and they apologized, but it's still shitty of em to reuse a unique design. maybe try reaching out to them and let them know, too. could be they don't realize it.
