Okay maybe it was me being terrible then or some kind of mix of the two? I didn't wait at all before trying to glob on more paint because I had no idea you were supposed to? I've never used paint before and it didn't come with instructions or anything. I also have Mehron Clown White, if that helps any? And when I say paint, I mean this cream stuff in the container.

I'm just totally unprepared I guess. I followed this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvpbgveMwvo but used a less sturdy sponge. But even theirs looks kind of off in a way up close? It's not as smooth looking as some I see here which is why I thought I just needed to switch paint brands.
