I went to an event run by the same people who run the speed dating on Geek Love. The guy running it is a major bro who I'd definitely have a few beers with, the guys ranged from generic nerdy basement dwellers to black weeaboos, the girls ranged from crazy cat ladies/tumblr users to girls who seemed to just be there because their friend dragged them there.

Most of them were generally nice, just too old for me (I was a month shy of 19 when I went). The thing about speed dating is that while you may find a few who make you think "RUN", there's always at least one you don't find out is nuts until afterwards. Which is what happened to me, with some girl who lied about being 18 to get in and brought her mom with her. She was interesting to say the least.

I feel like I should email the guy running the speed dating service and tell him he should start carding people.
