/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Not sure if this thread is for wig help as well, (please redirect me if there's another thread), but I'm trying to cosplay as black widow. I've heard great things about arda wigs. So I ordered my first arda wig. It's GREAT quality as promised, but it's so full of volume that I look like a short haired version of the Brave character. I've tried brushing it out in hopes of loosening the curls, but it didn't change the overall volume. How do I make this less poofy without destroying the wig or losing the curls? Thanks!
