I used pic related for my Koichi jacket anon (Specifically the A jacket with the mandarin collar)
Be aware though that the back vent/pleats are a bit wonky due to the pattern being an older one and may need some altering/adjusting.

It depends but personally I'm a fan of the matte suiting material. It's what real uniforms/Gakurans are made from anyway. Also you wouldn't be sweating to death that way either.
