/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I have an unlimited supply of brushed chrome stick-on vinyl from work. I'm thinking of using it cover a bunch of gear and armor I'll be making in the future because its quick, cheap and looks pretty believable... but it's just a bit too shiny.

Any ideas on how to dull it down a little? The surface is smooth plastic. This is a pic of how it looks stuck to some plain cardboard.
