I know this feel pretty well. I have friends who buy new phones and video game stuff all the time and then cringe when a coat they want for cosplay is $50.

I really don't care what they spend their money on, but it does drive me nuts to hear them whine about it.

Then they cling to you and follow you around and you cant escape and if you finally manage to ditch them they always find you again and ask why you left and get upset and you comfort them again because you dont want to be a cause for con tears and you dont want to be a jerk but you want them to leave you alone and just ugh

you're almost relieved when the con's over because you can get away from them.
