I'm going to make La Muerte and I have mostly everything figured out except how to make her hat and how to make the candles stand up straight on both the hat and the train of her dress.
I really want the brim to be huge like hers without being too heavy or too thick. I've seen some cosplayers achieve the brim but no tutorials have been out yet.

Maybe you can try making molds from pipes or thick wires, fill them in with latex. paint and then attach with spirit gum?

Man, I feel you. Cosplaying Arcade Sona and I just... My tummy is chubs and I can't use a corset for that.
