/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I plan to cosplay sailor Pluto for a con in May. I feel more than confident enough in my sewing abilities to make the fuku and bows and gloves but I have very little prop/accessory experience.

Anyone have any good tutorials on how to make gems/brooches for the tiaras and the chest bow?

Also, Pluto has that handy little Time rod. I feel it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out but in case anyone has ran into any process guides on how to make one that would be pretty helpful!
