I currently started on a Perona cosplay for my One Piece group and I'm rather stuck on what I should do for the boots.

In the previous cosplays I have done, I've never had to do any work on the shoes except for buying them.

So what should I do for these shoes? Buy them made off a cosplay site, make boot covers or modify boots myself?
