that's the thing though, you can make a visually pleasing coord that's character-themed. if i were going to make a homestuck-themed coord i'd make it so subtle that unless you were actually a homestuck you wouldn't be able to tell. just because I'm a fan of the characters doesn't mean I'd ignore if my coord is crap. it's important to me that my coords are good, I wouldn't sacrifice that just for a themed outfit. that goes for any fandom, really.

like for instance if you accessorized pic related with one of AatP's witch hats, added star-themed accessories and maybe striped socks or tights and her red shoes + some red accessories, it would be a cute take on Jade's god tier outfit. also appropriate as a halloween-y coord.
