Your product might be too old, or you might want something better anyway. I'm guessing it's drug store stuff? Look up foundations/ BB creams for oily skin, there is a whole internet at your fingertips, just start looking.

If you clean your face with an oil, mineral/coconut/etc then use a foam cleanser, followed by your moisturizing routine, then apply your sunscreen, apply a primer to make the application of your foundation smoother, you'll use less as well, which will help it not feel caked on. Less is always more, layers are always better than putting it on all at once.
