>Anime club tried planning a convention at my university.
>We got the space approved, and were in the process of bringing in special guests and vendors.
>University backed out and told us we couldn’t have the the space because a sorority wanted to use it.
>Told we couldn’t have the space in 2019 either because “fraternities, sororities, and athletic teams usually want the space in spring”
>I’ve been feeling bitter about it lately because my university’s anime con SHOULD have been this month.
>I’m seeing a lot of other universities in my state hold conventions this month.
>Instead of being happy that there’s weeb shit to do in my state this time of year, I’m jealous that the people running these cons are having things work out for them.
