Final post.

I wanted to stop with the reason for the chiffon dresses having raw edges in their bodice, but I think this is also noteworthy, if you're wondering why they don't just sew the bodice shut entirely, it's because sewing it completely shut *is* the cheapskate way.

This is Aquarium Carnival special set. It was only around ~$100, and it shows it -- no pockets, no embellishments other than two pearl drops and the waist tie button. The bodice is shorter than other AP dresses, they kinda really skimped everything they could to make this a ~$100 dress.

And the bodice is sewn entirely shut, no gaps. They won’t do it for the full-priced dress, because the gaps are to reduce stress on the outer chiffon fabric when your body moves against the lining.

Hope that finally puts the burando quality debate to rest. AP’s quality didn’t fall after all, it’s just us non-sewists who don’t understand the purpose of grading seams so the chiffon can lie flat, and leaving a gap for the lining to shift.

/end dump.
