Ribbon sashes. I associate them more with beauty pageants than royalty.

I could imagine ribbon sashes being useful, such as wearing them to mark yourself as staff at some sort of major lolita event (sort of like how staff at conventions have staff shirts).

But if you're just wearing a ribbon sash as an accessory, I can only imagine you as a winner of the vaguest pageant ever.
