Technically it's also within her right to spit, punch, kick, etc. Doesn't really make it a good idea.

The thing is, unless that person laid a hand on her, she really shouldn't be acknowledging his existence at all. There's really no reason to reply to statements like that in any way. Like the only reason I can think of it is basically "He hurt my feelings so I have to repair my self worth". If you're really that fragile, well... That's a problem.

Shitstain human beings exist, and do shitstain human being things. Unless they actually go out of their way to hurt you or cross a line by getting physical with you, they should really just be shrugged off.

I say this as someone who has gotten similar comments and not responded to them. One example being a drunk guy outside Otakon shouting "Whoa I can almost see her ass!"

By not responding, the polar ice caps didn't instantly melt, no one was eaten by Utahraptors, and a black hole didn't slurp up the planet. My life went on, [presumably] so did his, and I didn't go home and sob for like 5 hours about how someone boo-boo'ed my ego.
