I love how hopelessly tacky Mexican taste is. And I love my culture but what that girl and other Mexican itas refuse to understand is that the bold and bright colors in traditional Mexican clothing/costumes and lolita don’t mix. In order to blend the culture and lolita together you need to pull in smaller elements from trad clothes, like a good quality and very lightly decorated rose rebozo (in black or offwhite) or a good quality lace shawl when using a handmade Veracruz apron, and a smaller rose hair corsage. As for the dress I think a tiered chiffon dress works best. It’s definitely possible but so easy to fuck up. It should only be attempted by experienced lolitas.
