/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I bought this on impulse the other day because I'm a sucker for border prints. Unfortunately, I don't know if there's actually anything I can do with it since it's kind of short and doesn't really fit the silhouette.

Would it be ita or tacky to try and pull of a look something more like Putumayo's stuff? I know their skirts and dresses always run kind of short but are often paired with lolita blouses and accessories.

The picture doesn't do it justice. It doesn't lay nearly that flat IRL. I kind of want to sew some nice lace on the bottom of it, or at least some sort of ruffle to make it slightly less obviously from Hot Topic.
