No. Cgl is just a slow board. This thread will be around for a long while; if anything, it's one the staple threads on this board.

Anyway. I used to run into a lot of cosplayers at my old retail job (oh and my co-worker at the time was once pretty heavy into con-going). It was always fun helping them pick out shoes for their cosplays and gushing over panels/guests/con in general. I also remembered a creepy, permascowling middle school aged girl with stringy hair in a Deidara cosplay being dragged with her mom (man, did she ever have the social grace to act like everything was normal). I never really cared for Naruto, but even if I did, I got some major second hand embarrassment.

I've always day dreamed of the day a lolita or a hime-gal would stumble into my job to find something appropriately cute for their outfits. I'm sad that it never happened.

Anyway.

>had a meet up one time
>went to a restaurant after tea because the tea room served too many sweets and we wanted "real food"
>an employee recognized the fashion and asked to take a photo of her
>she said that she used to be into the fashion, but it had gotten too expensive for her
>swapped info, but haven't heard from her or seen any requests to join our comm yet

I'm going to have to stop by again and try to get dressed up once more. I'm debating if I want to transfer to that restaurant once I move back with my folks after graduation. I'd like to get to know her and help her ease back into the fashion, but at the same time, I really don't want to work in a restaurant again.
